I’m someone who often rotates food for one reason or another, but my dogs have all done so well on this food that I’ve been buying it for months! Soft coats, great energy, no crazy plaque build up on their teeth. My older dogs eat this formula and my puppies get the puppy formula. Such a great food for a great price.
I was looking for a good quality/ingredient dry dog food at an affordable price and after searching and comparing through countless pages on here, I finally found this one! The ingredients are great, it has none of the bad stuff other brands have, and its price point is a good deal given it's a HUGE sized bag (35 lbs.). Best of all, the doggy that I started feeding loves it!!!
I tried the highly marketed and advertised brands of dog food, and they were not even close to the quality of this brand. My dog had a foul odor coming from his coat when eating the inferior brands. When I fed my dog the other food this product, my dog enjoys the food, his stool is hard/firm for picking up the waste. Finally and most importantly my dog no longer has odor coming from his coat, according to my wife.
We adopted a underweight GSD it's helped her gain 6-7 lbs....with good poop AND she really seems to love the taste....for those that really know GSDs finding something they'll eat regularly can be a PIA.....just sayin'
My usual brand had become price-prohibitive, so to be able to afford to feed my dogs I went looking for an alternative. This product is a little cheaper but comes in a larger bag, so it is more affordable. Also has no grain, includes probiotics (yay!) and joint support (yay!) already in it, so hopefully I will not need to buy additional supplements. My dogs love it. It has 20% more calories than my other brand so I will cut portions by 20%; another savings! It's not all about the price but between my dogs and cats I spend $200 per month just on pet food, and now with the current inflation, I need to watch my budget. Better product, better price!
My golden turns up his nose at this. I had to add blueberries for him to eat a small amount. We had tried this before and he was OK with it, but got to the point where he wouldn't eat it. I thought it was possibly a growth spurt so I changed to another dog food. That one made his skin stink so I switched him back. He tried it again, but wasn't enthusiastic about it. So, we have now switched him to another and he is very pleased with what we are now using.
Our dogs have always been picky eaters, especially Gracie. She will typically eat a couple of pieces of kibble and then walk away (it takes her all day to eat her food). Well not anymore! She loves this food and gobbles it up in 1 sitting rather than taking all day just to eat her breakfast. Zeke love it too - He's not as picky of an eater, but still picky and he gobbles it up as well. I'm so happy with this new diet of theirs! We are definitely sticking with this one! The only problem I have is with our delivery - I am disabled and Fedex continually leaves our Chewy packages by the garage door instead of by the front door. I have to get a neighbor to move the 30+ lbs packages around to the door so I can get them in the house - Hate that Fedex cannot follow simple instructions
My dog is not a picky eater, but she hates this food. She eats half of what she normally does. Lately, she's been licking her paws a lot, and I'm worried that this food is causing her allergies.
New puppy will eat it but older dog will not touch it
I cannot say it is terrible but my rescue doggie would not touch it.
