Got my dogs extremely ill

I have been feeding country Vet Naturals Puppy Growth to My 9-month-old puppy Storm for most of his life. He does great on it. I've also been feeding it too Skye and Breeze and they did well on it. I even tried Country Vets Performance food, which was okay. I ordered this Butcher Shop Blend for Breeze and Skye. It got both of them very ill: vomiting and uncontrollable liquid diarrhea for days. Unprecedented reaction in the foods I have fed my dogs over the last 30 years. Something seriously wrong with this bag. No ingredient in it that my dogs have not eaten in their lives other than maybe the bacon fat. Chewy was great: refunded my money and sent me other food.

I had been feeding my Ridgeback Fromm's whitefish & potato because of a poultry allergy. However, after adding a second pup to our family, I was looking for a more budget-friendly alternative. After some research, I was delighted to discover Country Vet’s beef and bacon blend, which is priced under $50 for the 35 lb bag. I had to adjust the feeding amount slightly because it has a higher calorie count, but surprisingly, both dogs are very happy with the new food. Their digestion has improved, and I’m thrilled with the savings of about 50% per month. Happy girls, happy dog dad!

I bought this food because there’s no chicken in it, I suspected my dog might be allergic. She loves this food and tolerates it very well. I recently tried to switch to diamond naturals to save a few bucks and she was miserable. I hope they don’t change the formula because it works for us.

GR had allergic reaction, but it says no chicken in ingredients.

Not sure which ingredient that our Golden Retriever doesn’t tolerate now, but we purchased this to try since he has a major chicken allergy. He is even more itchy

Not sure what the issue is with this food, but we can’t feed it. Back to the expensive purina pro sensitive skin chicken-free food.

Love love love this food. My 2yo German Shepard has a long list of allergies and I tried all kinds of dog food brands, supplements and even the raw diet (just wasn’t affordable for me). This has been the ONLY dog food that has worked for her! It stopped her itching, breaking out in rashes, diarrhea and throwing up. Also a bonus that it comes with a low dose of joint support ingredients so she’s at least getting something! She’s a picky eater as well but loves this food. And my 1yo golden retriever has been on this since he was a puppy due to his sister being in the same house with her allergies. He does fantastic on it with no issues. Fresh bags of food everytime. Shepard gets 2cups Am&Pm(very active), and my retriever gets 1/2cup Am&Pm. Both are around 65-70lbs

Now I have to take them to the vet because it is non stop. I wish I did more research about this brand before I had gotten it because now my poor babies are struggling.

I know it’s weird but the packaging stood out the most to me. However my dogs are the ones who count and they absolutely love this dog food. I stopped getting it for a while due to pricing but I’ve gone back to it and my dogs still love it! They eat it all and lick the crumbs from the bowl even though there aren’t many. The pieces are round and maybe a 1/2 inch or less in size. I have 2 large, 2 medium and 1 small dog and they all eat it with no issues. I’ll keep purchasing it!
