Mables would lay in the window seal and would fall off it when she went in a deep sleep. I felt bad so I looked for a window hammock for her. I purchased the one in the title and Mables loves it. The first week she never got off from it except to go potty. The bad thing is that I will have to leave the window open a crack for the clips to stay. However, I have already resolved this issue by putting a towel in the crack left from not being able to close the window completely. this is no big issue as Mables loves her hammock and that is what matters. Plus, the dogs can't reach her either.

Cheap, don't buy

First things first, as other reviews have stated, the portion of the shelf that is supposed to hook into the window is a set size, so there's a very good chance

First things first, as other reviews have stated, the portion of the shelf that is supposed to hook into the window is a set size, so there's a very good chance that it will not fit your specific window. It's also a similar thickness to an old-school metal hanger, can hold some weight but not a lot. They barely sit inside the window frame and therefore puts any weight on the skinny plastic portion of the bottom of the window. It is visibly apparent that more than 10 pounds is too much of a strain, and even that might be a generous amount of weight. It's worth noting that the shelf does also come with brackets to secure to the wall rather than the window, though I'm not confident in their functionality given my experience with the product as a whole. The fabric used for the shelf is cheaply sewn together. Its basically one layer with the ends sewn over so that the thick dowels of the shelf can be fed through. My 9 pound cat sat on the shelf for may 30 seconds before jumping off and it was already mostly ripped from the weight. Even as small as my cat is, he was still too big to comfortably sit on the shelf. Maybe best used for kittens, but the fabric itself likely won't hold up. I did consider using the provided brackets and repairing/replacing the fabric for the bed, but the small square of space provided is too small for my cat to rest comfortably. I think this product is best used as kindling.

Comfy perch

I should have measured my windows as I thought this would fit anywhere. So make sure you measure. This worked out good as Marv's play room had a window this fit

Designed for what type of window?

I was looking forward to putting this cat bed on my window sill, but the metal hooks are too tall and the wooden arms below are too short to even begin to work with

I was looking forward to putting this cat bed on my window sill, but the metal hooks are too tall and the wooden arms below are too short to even begin to work with my windows, which I thought were fairly standard windows. Fortunately, I happen to have another structure on which this can hang/sit. Unfortunately, my cat wants nothing to do with it.

My cat uses this every afternoon

My cat loves this so much! He takes his afternoon snooze in it every day, and plenty of nights too. And he looks so cute in it too. He's about 14 pounds and fits
