    Great Heater!

    By BijouMama2011 on Sep 20, 2021

I’m buying another one of these, since the previous one is starting to get too hot now. But, I used the previous one daily (on high) for over a year without any issues at all, so I expected it to finally give out under those heavy duty circumstances. My little song birds absolutely love it (it’s wall mounted right behind their flight cage) & snuggle up to it when it’s chilly, after a bath, or when they want to take a nap. I highly recommend this little heater!

Great product but too hot for a small coop

By Kris on Sep 11, 2021

I have a 4'x4'x4' coop. This fit perfectly but although it says it's safe to the touch, it's like touching the glass on our fireplace. It's too hot for a small space where your girls will bump up against it. Would be better in a larger or walk-in coop.

    coop heater

By Leah on Oct 17, 2021

Works great. Really heats the whole coop. Cord is also smaller than an extension cord in width so I can close it in the door without loosing heat.

    For cold weather emergencies

By Nick on Jun 3, 2021

Next winter I think I'll use this only for severe cold weather, this winter we set it up in the coop and kinda just forgot it assuming everything would work but when I opened up the coop to clean on a warm spring day it was super toasty inside and the thing was heating in 60f weather on the low setting. It really needs an adjustable thermostat instead of just high/low setting. But on the plus side it ran all winter and didn't burn the coop down

    Perfect little heater

By Mountaingirl on May 8, 2021

I got this to help keep my coop warm for my young chicks that are outside for the first time. It is still a bit cool here in the mountains of western NC, so I needed to supplement their heat a bit longer while I wait for it to warm up outside more consistently. This does the job. It mounted easily on the wall without taking up any space. The chicks cuddle up near it when they get chilled during the day and all night. Will be a life saver when winter comes back around.

    Chicken heater

By Gemma on Feb 25, 2021

Great alternative (and safe) to a heatlamp. We have this attached to the wall directly behind where the chickens roost and they seem comfortable at 20 degrees. I have noticed they will turn to face it when the temps drop. I don't worry that they will get too warm and not remain adaptable to the cold outside during the day, but know that they are staying warm enough to avoid any frostbite or discomfort.

    This is great

By Molly on Feb 17, 2021

I needed a safe option to put in my coop for these Sub-Zero temps we've been having. One of the legs came broken, but I wasn't planning on using the legs so it didn't affect me. There are holes on the back that you can hang it with, which was what I did. My chickens are curious so I know they'd knock it over if I used the legs.

    Seems to work well

By Gigibeansmom on Feb 20, 2021

Things heat up really well! We purchased not for chickens but for cats! We built a rather sizable cat house and this winter, surrounded it with thick, clear, flexible plastic. The temperature was due to drop rather quickly and we wanted a low or zero clearance way to give the installed heat mat a boost. Currently it’s registering 1*F outside and the cat house is registering 46*F with 2 coop heaters settled between the plastic envelope and wooden box. The power indicator didn’t show red when standing alone in the wind, but it was still producing heat. Blocking the wind made a huge difference. My girls love it

By colquitt on Mar 4, 2021

I thought it wasn't working (contacted the mfg to see if I was using correctly), but figured out it does show when it is on. The mfg wasn't willing to help b/c I didn't purchase from them, but it was half the price at Chewy! Ofcourse! Love my chewy.
