Can Credelio be given to dogs with food allergies?

What is the acceptability/ palatability of Credelio
In a field trial, the acceptability of credelio was tested at 10 different locations across the u.s. 94% of dogs accepted Credelio from the hand, in the bowl or with food. The remaining 6% accepted Credelio when placed in the mouth. There were no reports of unsuccessful dosing.
The positive control in the u.s. field trial was Nexgard® (afoxolaner). Acceptability results were very similar, with only 4% reaching the “placed in mouth” stage. Also, Nexgard had no reports of unsuccessful dosing.

By Debbie on Nov 12, 2020
Our dog was having a problem with ticks, we had the yard sprayed, he was still getting them. Our vet told us about this medicine. Thank God, it's been working this whole time, for about a year.

EXPIRED MEDICATIONS
By UpsetOwner7274 on Jun 26, 2020
They only have expired medications in chewy facilities. Apparently FDA approved an extension to the time dating on prescribed medication so chewy will ship you medication expiring in this year because it’s new expiration date is next year. I don’t feel comfortable but I already opened the 120$ box and pretty sure I can’t get a refund now.

By LouiseMarie on Jul 4, 2020
I haven't found any fleas or ticks on my two dogs who live in the country and go on trails 5 days a week. I just wish it wasn't a monthy pill but every 6 months.

MADE MY DOG TERRIBLY SICK
By dogmoms on Apr 25, 2020
I gave this to my dog around noon and 2 hours later she had diarrhea, was lethargic, and would not touch her dinner. She couldn’t sleep through the night and in the morning she tried to eat and proceeded to throw up multiple times to the point where she was scared to even drink water. Do not put your dogs through this!!!!

Credelio Chewable tablet for flea control
By SusieQ on Apr 14, 2020
Sincerely appreciate your efforts in getting this prescription approved by our vet. They have their own pharmacy and did not immediately fill the prescription. Your prices are much more competitive and we prefer to purchase from you. (They called to try and get us to purchase from them which is, no doubt, what caused the delay in your receiving approval.)

Ask your vet, do your research
By Opie on Feb 25, 2020
Credelio has been indirectly identified as to have caused my hound to have seizures. We've consulted tirelessly with our vet and eventually decided to take him off Credelio as there were some studies that it was causing seizures. We immediately did so and we have seen improvement. This review isn't to say that Credelio causes seizures for all dogs...cause obviously there are positive reviews here, but flea/tick medicine is a big deal and if you're like us, we just lazily went with what was recommend to us and we almost lost our boy because of it. Consult your vet, be cautious...there's a lot of conflict research out there with flea/tick medicine.
