A gradual transition to new food will avoid stomach issues, so don't change your dog's dishes all at once. Instead, mix the new food with your dog's old food. Throughout a week, gradually decrease the proportion of old food while increasing the proportion of new food.
I’ve been feeding my kitty Dave’s forever and this is the only flavor that doesn’t sit right with her, she throws it right back up 70% of the time. 3 stars though because otherwise we love Dave’s and definitely recommend the other flavors!
Reasonable ingredients, enjoyed by our felines, arrived promptly.
We are not able to find this locally and Chewy's had it available and for a good price. Our cats love the Dave's Naturally canned foods.
Sadly, i was hoping the ragdoll kitties would like this healthier than friskies food... So far they wont touch it . but Im going to have them get used to it. I guess they are junk food junkies than need to adjust to the healthier lifestyle Im trying to give them.
The ingredients are great and my cats love the Dave's tuna chicken in gravy, so I thought I'd try this food. They seemed to like it at first, but gave them diarrhea even after a slow transition. They won't eat it anymore.
...one walked away, but she's very persnickety about everything she's offered. The others were thrilled its been added to the weekly menu offerings.
My cats are picky. SO PICKY. They will eat food once and then decide no thank you when I try to feed it again. Lately we’ve been trying to lose weight, but good wet food is a little expensive. I like Dave’s because the food is well-priced and high quality so we usually rotate within the brand. The cats were tired of turkey and chicken so I wanted to try fish! Wasn’t sure if they’d like this because of the mixed reviews but they love it! It isn’t shredded, it’s more like those fake chunks with lots of juice but my cats gobble it up.
We've tried Dave's products before for our three cats and normally they aren't much of a hit. I decided to give Dave's one last try with this one and while the cats don't wolf it down like other foods they love, they seem to like it. The only problem is that they seem to get really hungry. When feeding we seemed to go through roughly double the usual number of cans.
My cats hated this food and that includes the cats that I feed outside.
My kitties and I are trying out different Dave’s options as part of a switch to wet food. I selected this option based on a nutritional database for cat foods. This one is the biggest hit so far and had a good nutritional rating.
