Davis Dry Shampoo will not help with dandruff for cats. This product is more for spot cleaning to extend the time between baths. It helps by soaking up excess oils and volumizes coats.

This shampoo is manufactured in the USA.

I ordered this thinking it could be used as a dry shampoo for dogs or cats but now that I read the directions it seems that it may need to be rinsed off a cat to be safe- is that true?

To help absorb oil from cats with stud tail, apply to base of tail and allow to remain for 10- 15 minutes then give a routine bath.

The sound of the spray is like a hiss and it terrified my cat. I decided to go in another room and spray it on a brush to run through his tail but it was so overwhelmingly floral that I can't use it. I can't imagine subjecting an animal to that scent given that they are much more sensitive to odors than we are.
