This crate is strong with a metal frame, easy to fold open & closed (after a few practice runs), and the frame "locks" to prevent collapse. It has 4 "windows" with "shades" that may be velcro-held open. It comes with a soft foam pad & carrying case. I am 67yrs old and am able to carry it by the handle and load it into my trunk. My dog is 60lbs and I got the X-large; it is perfect for him to be comfortable in a reclined position and have room to turn around. A reminder that soft crates are not appropriate for puppies or dogs that are not crate trained as they may chew and tear the materials no matter the brand or build.
This seemed like a great quality crate, was very easy to set up and looked as good as a large crate could. However within a week the zip on the front had broken.
At first I was a bit baffled about how to put the crate together, but once I realized how easy it is, it's a breeze. It's nice and sturdy and folds up well for travel. I will probably use a thicker mattress than the one it came with. I may also order the water bottle the the same company makes, which allows the pup to drink when they're in the crate.
The roll ups do not line up to attach. I’ve had to use a giant chip holder. Dog was in for 5 mins left alone and ripped the side. Not as sturdy as it looks. Metal bracket broke on week 2. I guess I’m going back to original crates.
The quality of this product is good. I bought it for our kitten and thought it would be good for him as her grows, however it is quite small. When he reached 4.4 lbs, he was fine. Now at 6lbs he fills the crate. I've been searching for a high quality crate for years that matches the high quality when I had border collie dogs. That combat doesn't make dog crates any longer. I suppose I'll have to invest in a larger size for our kitten when he gets older and full size. I recommend this product, however be least of the sizing measurements!
I have an XL for my 8 y/o Standard Poodle and would have gotten an XL for my 4 m/o Standard Poodle, but XL will not be available until after 10/2023....I will be getting him XL because these kennels are fantastic! Easy set up, roomy and comfy for my fur baby's:D
I really like to sleep in my new soft crate. I like how the side opens so I can sleep with my head out on the floor! And my dog mom says it’s very easy to assemble and lightweight. We’re both very happy.
I've owned large dogs for decades and have used the basic metal crates during the puppy years. I now have an older GSD that is having surgery and will be crate restricted for weeks so I looked for something more comfortable with larger access for me to reach in and care for my girl. I found it in this DogGoods crate. The top and two sides zip open for easy access, plus the screens an be easily secured out of your way. There is a builtin water bottle holder which is easily accessed from the exterior of the crate side. To top it off, the crate easily collapses and has a bag with shoulder strap to carry it. This crate is more expensive than the metal crates, but I think the many features plus solid construction make it a great investment.
We needed some thing for when we traveled. Perfect for a 65 pound girl. She loves it!
I love it! Zoey & Zephyr love it! I purchased the XL to fit 2 Standard Poodle puppies for their inside the home FORTRESS. It is attractive and love the 2 sided zipper openings. Too bad one of the inside plastic roof side tubes snapped off the end that clamps into the other top plastic tube as I attempted to open it up and attach it. I probably used too much force when maneuvering the side roof plastic tube to its place; nevertheless it snapped at a vulnerable end and that demonstrates it is not sturdy enough. Despite the broken side tube it still is usable as the other 3 tubes keep the roof up. I love it enough to keep it for indoor use as is with 1 out of 4 broken roof support plastic tubes. The puppies play in it and seem to enjoy it. They do not show interest in chewing it. If you purchase, be gentle and cautious with unfolding the roof plastic tube structures into place.
