Love the pump idea unfortunately this is very runny/watery and you have to use a lot of pumps. I have a 6 month old frenchie and had to use a lot just for his little body to suds up. I feel like if I washed my doodle in it I would easily use a fourth of the bottle in one wash. It does smell good though.

I'd rate this 4.5 out of 5 if I could. Probably for obvious reasons, the pump bottle is great and makes it so much easier to use! The shampoo smells good. The texture of the shampoo feels pretty creamy, but that's the reason I'd take a half star off if it were an option - I had to use a pretty good amount to get coverage. I found that the dog had to be very wet for the shampoo to lather well, but once I got extra water in the mix, it lathered very well and left the hair feeling smooth. The oatmeal seems to be gentle on the skin. Overall, I would recommend this shampoo, just be sure to use extra water to help spread it out and get a good lather!

This shampoo smells great! I'm very sensitive to chemical/floral smells, but this has a mild, pleasant coconut smell that I liked. I was surprised the first time I used it because there weren't any suds, but then I realized it's because the shampoo doesn't contain sulfates. Even though it didn't suds up, I did not have to use a lot on my Lab to get her clean. That's saying a lot because her fur gets oily pretty quickly. She seemed to like the smell too (see photos!). She investigated the bottle and it seemed to pass her sniff test because she stood calmly for her bath. The shampoo washed off without leaving any residue. Even though I've used my previous gentle dog shampoo brand for years, I'm switching to Douxo because of the pleasant smell, how easily I was able to shampoo my dog and get her clean, and the sulfate-free formula. And of course, most importantly, my dog seemed to like it!

This is an exquisite shampoo. I have a miniature poodle with very tight curls prone to matting. The first thing I noticed about this shampoo is that is does not have a high volume lather. That is a good thing. The suds were creamy and low volume which to me indicates a high quality cleaning agent. The silky lather was left on my pup for the three minutes as directed. Although this is not a tearless shampoo, I found that the smooth low volume of the suds made it possible to do his muzzle without fear of getting in to his eyes. The scent is not overwhelming…which can be a problem for a sensitive dog nose. It is a light coconut/vanilla natural scent. Very pleasant. The rinse was done rather quickly due to the lack of extra suds. A real plus. The result when dry was great. Although I did not see a true glossy effect on his tightly curled poodle fur, the soft texture was not dry. Another plus. There was a soft sheen. I have included pictures of the suds after vigorous hand washing to show the creamy effect. I definitely endorse this product for poodle fur which can be a challenge to wash and not tangle. Brushing him after the wash was very easy.

As a retired groomer, I tend to judge shampoos pretty harshly. That being said, I'm very happy with this Douxo Skin & Coat SPA UltraSafe Oatmeal Dog Shampoo! I have a Pomeranian who recently had a stroke and because of this, sometimes has issues going potty. In turn, she gets a lot of baths. What I really like about this Douxo shampoo is that it's gentle on her skin, even with frequent baths. The first time I washed her, I was very happy with the scent, but thought it may be overwhelming. Once I used it, I was happy to smell that it was mild and not an overpowering, lingering smell. Just clean! I also really like the pump on the bottle. That may be a weird thing to like, but some pumps are not good or don't dispense enough product. This one is great and easy to use while washing. Overall, I'm very happy with this Douxo Skin & Coat shampoo. My dog's skin and coat look, feel, and smell great! Highly recommended!

I’ve only used this shampoo once for my girl since we got it, and she gets bathed about every 3-4 weeks. She has sensitive skin and is prone to allergies and dandruff,

I’ve only used this shampoo once for my girl since we got it, and she gets bathed about every 3-4 weeks. She has sensitive skin and is prone to allergies and dandruff, so I can only speak on how it washes up: which is well. The scent is light and left her short fur “fluffy” and clean. (If you’ve ever used an oatmeal soap for yourself, you’ll recognize the subtle scent.) She isn’t bothered by any of if, but then again, she’s a good dog and will jump into the tub on her own when I let her know it’s bath time.

Very nice doggy shampoo!!

I did not wash our dog for this review since he had just had a session with our groomer. However, I was able to use it on a friend's dog (Israel) who needed a bath!

I did not wash our dog for this review since he had just had a session with our groomer. However, I was able to use it on a friend's dog (Israel) who needed a bath! I will use it on my dog next time!! This Oatmeal formula of Douxo Skin & Coat spa dog shampoo is amazing! I actually think Israel actually enjoyed his bath! The "ultra-safeness" was a huge plus for me. If we humans don't like these chemicals on ourselves, why would we subject it to our dogs? It lathered up very nicely, created soft bubbles, smelled wonderful and rinsed off nicely. Plus, the hefty 16 fluid ounce bottle with the pump action was terrific! It will last many shampooings (is that a word?). I highly recommend this product. It isn't every day that I like a shampoo so much! I bet it would work well on us humans but I will not use it as there is a warning that its for dogs only. LOL.
