Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. Are there side effects from using Advantix for small dogs

We haven’t experienced any! We hold our dog a few minutes until the drops have time to dry ( she tries to wipe it off in her dog bed)

does Advantix require a prescription from the vet?

A prescription is not needed to purchase this flea and tick treatment.

I have two puppies toy poodle 6 and 7 pounds, do I have to keep the separate for 12 hours or any suggestions of what can I do, to be on the safe side. Like maybe keep them separate for 12 hours. Or wearing clothes after the 12 hours or after; what are your suggestions?

Do not allow the dogs to lick any of the application sites and keep separated for 30 minutes.

My dog was good for several days and started itching again. It wasn’t as bad as it had been but it still didn’t get rid of the fleas completely. I get it’s not from the vet but I used this product before and it worked really well. Maybe it just works differently on each dog. I’m going to stick with it and see if it gets better over the next few months. If not I will have to reevaluate.

Dosage

For 4-10 lbs the liquid inside the capsule sounded and extracted very little. I've ordered this before from other third party, and it was never this little.

Effective at flea control but

my dog unfortunately seems to be allergic to the active ingredients and has been moderately itchy at the application site for 2 days. Not the fault of the product

The first tube I open was dry out

Caused Scratching & Burning

Caused excessive burning and scratching to the point one dog hurt her back leg trying to keep scratching at the back of her neck. I only gave her about half a dose

Caused excessive burning and scratching to the point one dog hurt her back leg trying to keep scratching at the back of her neck. I only gave her about half a dose. She walked on 3 legs and had to be carried up and down the stairs for several days. I got a few drops on my skin by accident and had to put aloe on it for a few hours due to the burning of my skin. I gave them a bath approximately 18 hours later and they were still trying to scratch where I originally put it. Finally calmed down after several days.

Somewhat Effective

I hate using poison on my dogs period but this seems to be the most effective way. I had never had to deal with fleas on my dogs till I moved to Eastern Texas.
