Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Bentonite Clay.
Instructions: Fill clean, dry litter box with 3-4 inches of Dr. Elsey's litter. This depth allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally. Scoop waste twice daily and refill box as necessary. Replace entire box once a month. Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination.
Impressed with Dr. Elsey's Paw Sensitive cat litter. I have six cat's I am blessed with, and their health and well being is very important; including, their cat litter. What I like about this litter is the safety to my cat's, less litter on the hardwood floors, and it's easier to clean out the litter box. I never considered litter being a contributing factor to renal failure; which, is the number one reason my kitties of the past passed away from. Because of this new awareness, I would be highly reluctant to purchase any crystal or highly perfumed litter again. Overall a five star
We used to use the Dr. Elsey's attract litter but I noticed my kitty didn't love to dig in it and would avoid standing in the box. After trying a bunch of different litters this was by far the best. It clumps well as long as you clean offten, I haven't noticed any smells, and most importantly my cat loves the texture on her paws. Since the litter is lighter, it does track more but it is less noticeable if you do happen to step on some. Just wish we could get a bigger bag like the other litter from this brand does.
My 17 year old Himalayan girl always had litter stuck to her paws and between her pads with every litter we tried Bought Dr Elseys hoping for the best but not really expecting much To my surprise and delight this litter actually does what it says Her pads are not irritated anymore and theres been absolutely no litter cemented between her pads I will not buy any other litter again Thanks Dr Elseys
Quite possibly the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on litter. It tracks EVERYWHERE! Literally from downstairs to upstairs, this litter is all over my floors. And, my sensitive paw baby hates it. Back to square one for us. I don't recommend this product
Wanted to love this for my 15 YO declawed boy & his 3 YO sister. My boy has early kidney disease & drinks ALOT. When he pees it sounds like a pipe broke & water is rushing inside the walls, no joke! His giant clumps are soft cement w/lead inside. Use both hands to pry clumps out. They are sticky & gummy. Cat not ill cuz the vet tested him. The scoop is disgusting. I find poop scattered in the middle of the rooms where boxes located. What?? It must stick to them when exiting? It tracks all over wood floors & travels into other rooms! Let’s not even talk about the bag! It’s too bad because the soft litter is what kitties need. COME ON DR. ELSEY!!!
The litter itself is being used by my cats. It's tracks about the same as any other litter and doesn't smell any better or worse when messed in. It clumps well and I enjoy there being no perfume. My youngest kitten however has taken two shredding the packaging on it. I don't know if it's because the litter bag was shipped in the same box as her food or if there is something on the bag from the warehouse.
One of my cats is a chronic floor-wetter. Nothing wrong physically, she's just absurdly picky! We tried several different types of litter boxes, even a fancy automatic one, and probably 15 kinds of litter, from pine to silica, and she'd always go back to puppy pads we had to put in front of the litter box. I tried this stuff on a whim and I wish I'd found it sooner. It's the only litter she uses consistently and my other two non-picky cats prefer that box over the other ones. I'll give it another few months and if things keep going in this direction maybe I can finally shampoo my carpets!
I was previously using litter pans made of other materials, and it made all brands of litter that I tried, stick to the bottom. It was always a nasty mess to clean up. I recently switched to standard plastic litter pans and that solved this issue, but leftover was still the issue of urine clumps always breaking apart when scooping. It made the litter box smell bad quickly, so I was often throwing out the entire contents when scooping. I've tried many brands that claim to be the best for clumping. I've tried multiple different kinds of litter. This one is my favorite so far so I'll stop searching now. The cats like it, likely because it's similar to sand texture. I love that it never creates those gross clumps that stick to the litter box. Urine smell is completely gone with this. And urine clumps are finally scoopable without falling apart. I was last using tidy cats, and that brand does very well at covering smells. But that's the only thing tidy cats beats this litter at. Yes there is tracking, so I have litter box rugs to catch that. Yes there is dust when you pour the litter in, so I turn on a fan or just keep the kitties away until it settles. This litter is very good so I'm fine with these things. I have two cats and two litter boxes, but with this litter I don't even have to scoop daily anymore.
My cats love this but it is dusty .. dump the litter into the box and there is a big cloud! I don't know how they can make the dust claim
This liter tracks so bad, I have paw prints everywhere. And super high dust. Would never purchase and don't recommend this liter.
