Feed as the sole ration to laying hens from onset of egg production (approximately 18 - 20 weeks of age). Provide feed and clean drinking water at all times. Supplemental grit or oyster shells may be provided for optimal shell and bone quality as hens have the ability to balance their calcium needs.

I had high hopes for this feed, but all 20 of my mixed flock hated it. They refused to eat it,it was wasted. I am not saying that the feed is bad just that not one of my chickens would eat it.i ordered 2 bags . The wild birds didn’t like .
I love this feed for my girls but they just won’t eat it! It stayed in their feeder forever until I put it out as scratch and I thought they were eating it that way. Then I saw a mama and 2 baby deer eating it instead of my flock.
I didn’t loose 1 baby bird feeding Dr Pols they are growing and very healthy Strong ! Love Chewys Autoship Top nutrition in feed from baby’s to full grown
My chickens are rather picky when it comes to feed so I was very happy that they live this feed! Such a great value!
My chickens love this!! They used to pick through their food and leave the pellets for last but now they go for this 1st!! Our eggs are beautiful, shells are perfect, and tastes wonderful!! My goats have been using Dr. Pol's goat feed and it's the absolute best!! So I had to try this.
My chickens and turkey go crazy for this food. They really seem to like that the pieces are tiny little balls, as opposed to pellets or crumbles. Highly recommend!
I first use the 28% version during the heart of homing pigeon breeding to help with young bird body and feathers development, then drop down to 16% thereafter. Love the small pellets vs. the longer traditional pellets.
Have had chickens my whole life and recently our feed store sold out and the chicke feed was terrible. As soon I switched to this they immediately started laying!
My chickens didn’t eat this at all.
I have two older hens that lay once every 3-4 months sometimes go even longer without laying so I decided to try this brand and wow within a week my older hens were laying like they were young again. I didn’t think much about it till I ran out of this feed and went back to the regular feed and they went back to not laying … so here I am once again buying again. With the egg shortage every laying hen counts so they are all laying. Impressed and will now remain on this feed for all my hens
