May Work for Some.....
By Meegrits1966 on Jan 5, 2021
My Rottweiler strained her ACL, she did not tear it. We have gone through one bottle of this product and now a week into our second bottle. We have faithfully given her the recommended dose, which had been over 7 weeks and we have seen ZERO improvement. It was Vet recommended, but did not work for our girl at all.

Buyer beware... flavors matter
By heaatherc on Oct 9, 2020
Our vet had recommended duralactin for our Rottie pup with elbow issues early on. What the website doesn’t explicitly spell out is that there are different flavors of this item. I was on the phone with a Chewy representative because we had what I call ‘an absolutely horrible batch’. Turns out there is a chicken liver flavor and a vanilla flavor. Dark vs light in color. The chicken liver is putrid. Our pup won’t touch it and gags when we force her to swallow. Great product, poor advertisement of flavor without in-depth, chewy rep assistance. Recommend vanilla, item 192446 Duralactin.

Seems to help
By Cathy46 on Oct 22, 2020
Dixie enjoys these and does seem to have more spring in her step along with some bursts of energy. I am hopeful this means less joint discomfort for her, although she still will not jump up on the couch or go up the stairs to bed. Not a miracle but seems to be helpful.

Used vanilla tablet chewables for years
By Joey on Jul 13, 2020
My 14 year old Lhasa with arthritis began resisting the Duralactin tablets after accepting them for years I just couldn’t get him to take them any longer. I tried crushing and mixing with PB but he wasn’t having it. I began him on a chewable doggy turmeric product (approx 3 months ago) that he would accept but haven’t noticed the same results (anti-inflammatory) that I feel he always had on Duralactin. Of course he is getting older as well but I ordered and am trying this product with optimism from past experience. I just ordered it yesterday and it’s arrived already today (Chewy has the fastest shipping I’ve ever seen - THANK YOU!), I just offered his first dose and he looked at me after sniffing it but has eaten it. I hope he continues to accept this every day as I think he gets around much better with this supplement (Duralactin) on board. Note that this version has Glucosamine and MSM in it and as he already is on Glyco-Flex 3 daily I plan to cut him back to every other day on it. Glucosamine can have its own side effects if taken in doses to large. I’m thrilled to find this and to see that he ate it. I will report back within a week or two if he improves. He loves his walks but he is slowing down while we’re out more and more and I’ve noticed more recently there seems to be a lag in him getting his back hips up. Hoping this brings him a little more comfort and helps him get around a little quicker and easier. … more

Duralactin works
By Maximillian on Apr 8, 2020
I am a big old schnoodle ( mostly giant schnauzer, part standard poodle) at 110 lb., 10 years old with rickety hind legs. I have been using for a few years and I can still get up, run and have fun.

My pug won't eat these
By Lauri on Jan 18, 2020
Well my dog won't eat these-doesn't like the taste I guess. And she pretty much eats everything! Going to have to check a different brand. Not the manufacturer's fault. I can't comment on the effectiveness

She likes it!
By Lovemylab on Jan 11, 2020
My vet recommend I start my dog on these as she is getting older and feeling her age...I was so happy to find this on Chewy...for SO much less than I was paying - and I received it THE NEXT DAY! So happy and thankful!

Consistency and time
By JointChews on Sep 9, 2019
My 13 year old mixed breed rescue has been on the Duralactin PLUS for the last 4 years. She came to me 12 years ago with a very rough beginning of life. Throughout the following years she developed soreness and stiffness in her joints. Particularly her hips and back legs. She had trouble on our walks, avoided jumping up on my lap and it was obvious that she was struggling. I asked our vet at our yearly appt. what I could do to help her and he suggested the Duralactin Plus. I did not see an immediate improvement for at least 15-16 months. I continued the plan of 1 chew a day and began to see the difference And it continues today. She is more flexible.
