These soft, angel-fish-shaped chews are made in the USA with a combination of active ingredients to help prevent constipation, support a healthy digestive tract and help remove hairballs. Salmon oil and safflower oil lubricate your kitty’s digestive system, while digestive enzymes, bromelain, which comes from pineapples, and papain, which comes from papaya work to help break apart hairballs, so they pass through your buddy’s digestive tract with ease. These chews also contain chicory root, a great source of natural prebiotics to support a healthy gut. And you can have peace of mind knowing that these health chews are naturally preserved and 100% free from grains, gluten, soy and artificial ingredients, colors and flavors.

Paris has a very sensitive stomach and cannot have any product with chicken in it. It's hard because a lot of the most common flavors are chicken and even if the flavor is salmon some sort of chicken meal is still used in the treat. She has been having pretty gnarly hairballs lately and I wanted to get her something she enjoyed and that helped and these treats were it! She LOVES them. Every morning she hears me get the bag and she starts meowing like crazy because she knows she's getting her morning hairball treats. I really do think they helped with the hairballs too. I noticed a considerably less amount. Of course it's not going to stop them completely but even if they didn't help I finally found treats she's crazy about that don't ruin her stomach.
If you are a cat butler, you know that they're picky and not all cats will like the same thing. I don't think it's fair to say it's a waste of money because one's cat didn't like them and tell people not to buy. I hope people read all the reviews and give them a try. My Persian cat who has IBD loves these. My other cat couldn't care less. Mine were not hard or stale. I do have to flatten them and break apart for the Persian because of his short mouth. He "sits" for the treats. They've helped with his hairballs to an extent, but IBD flare ups keeps hairballs and food from passing easily so he vomits with or without.
