The blades on the Professional Dog Nail Trimmer open fully. If you prefer a nail trimmer that slips over the nail, we recommend a guillotine style instead.

good, works

sharp, effective, and don't make a loud snapping sound when the nail gets cut. We got this for a dew claw and although a little awkward to maneuver the large size against her leg, it was pretty ergonomic and did it's job.

Doesn't cut, but crushes

I have not figured out how to get these clippers to actually cut my dogs nails, instead it splinters and crushes them. Does not seem good for my dog, went back to using 12 year old clippers instead.

Not the best

My puppy didn’t love it. It was difficult to get it to cut her nails so now she’s hesitant to let me near her paws. I’ll probably try to grind them.

Easier than others.

I have a hard time clipping my dogs nails. she hates it! This was helpful for sure, and easier than other clippers for her nails. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Quality Professional Results

Purchased these to use on one of our Labrador Retrievers. First time I'd ever needed to trim his nails. The trimmers felt comfortable and firm in my grip while i held my dog snug in my arms. There is no "mechanical" noise to scare my dog. The only sound was the quick snip of the nail. I was able to trim all four feet in just a matter of a few minutes. My son brought over his 6-month old Great Dane and I was able to trim his nails too with suprising ease....the pup actually fell asleep while he was getting his nails trimmed!

Fantastic trimmer

SO MUCH BETTER than the traditional trimmers of the past. So easy to use so the process is quicker, so my dog tolerates trimmings much better
