Exo Terra Bamboo Tweezers Feeding Tool

I use these to grab wax worms and meal worms to feed to my toad, the Lady Isabella. They have nice blunt ends so that the greedy little gluttonous Isabella doesn't hurt herself grabbing a squirmy worm from their grasp. I love how sensitive of a squeeze these tweezers have. I have yet to accidentally oversqueeze a worm. I also like that they are bamboo. Anytime I can use a little more eco friendly option, it makes me happy. I do want to note that these are bigger than the picture made them seem, which isn't a problem for me. They are about a foot long. These are great they are long enough to feel my toad and salamander. They are great because both my reptile and amphibian won't injure their mouths when they try to grab the food from the tweezers if they are super hungry and can't wait for me to place in their tanks

I have watched people use metal tongs and hear the animals' teeth and jaw hit hard. I cringe, how unnatural. I don't usually use tongs for feeding but when I need to I am so happy that I have these. They work great pinch well, with just enough resistance. If I use them to tap on a hide I know it's not so loud and alarming. When I touch my snakes and lizards, they are not cold and shocking. If they go on sale I will buy several to give as gifts and to stock up!

I've been using these for years for my reptiles. Sometimes they get aggressive and bite the tongs, and so using the bamboo (rather than metal) makes me feel so much better knowing they won't hurt themselves. They clean well and are generally well made.

Love them. The shipping since Covid, not as much. This product was thankfully available, not like many others products.

Arrived fast. Pretty fragile. don't try to pull on them at all. I like them other than that

I purchased these because my beardie prefers to be hand-fed and he gets a little snappy when it’s his fav food. The bamboo tweezers are perfect for this because they are long for reaching in through the little door on my lid, bend easily to pick the food up, and it’s safer for him when he accidentally bites it.

I have a leopard gecko that was small when I got him and not a very good hunter (I guess he had no energy to catch his prey). These were fabulous to use in helping him to eat and he now associates the sound of them clicking with food and good times - he is HUGE now and comes running when he sees or hears them! He now attacks them and I have stopped using them for feeding, I just grab the roaches (YUCK) and drop them in his food bowl for him now, or else he mauls the tongs but he has had no signs of any mouth injuries which is great, and I don't have to touch bugs which is even better!

These could be sturdier. Spend the extra dollar and get more or your money with the steel tongs also available on chewy.

I absolutely love these tongs. It lessens the risk of your Tarantula/Fangy-Nommer breaking a tooth while going for it's prey.
