The Exo Terra Lamp Holder Bracket for Reptiles was made to securely suspend a light source above a glass terrarium. This sturdy bracket easily adjusts to fit most types of fixtures. You can also regulate the heat and light based on your terrarium’s requirements by moving the rubber washers. The Exo Terra Lamp Holder Bracket extends the life span of a light bulb and helps prevent terrarium damage and accidental tipping.

Clean the outside surface of the terrarium glass.
With the Protective Backing still intact, place the Light Bracket Support on the back or the side of the terrarium to determine its final position.
Mark the position with a wax pencil or other marker.
Remove the Protective Backing and carefully fit the Light Bracket Support within the marked area.
Once in place, the Light Bracket should not be removed.
Adjust the height and tighten the screw of the Light Bracket when the fixture is suspended above the terrarium at the desired height.
Remove the first Rubber Washer and slide the Ring of the fixture's support over the rod of the Light Bracket.
Adjust the position of the fixtures by moving the remaining Rubber Washer.
Replace the first Rubber Stopper to secure the Ring of the fixture's support tightly in between both Rubber Stoppers.
Ensure that the light's focal point is not positioned above any plastic parts of the terrarium or screen cover to prevent damage.
THIS ALMOST SET MY HOUSE ON FIRE!!!! the adhesive that sticks to the back of your tank is TERRIBLE AND IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF A HEAT LAMP AND FALL OVER ON YOUR FLOOR AND IT ALSO IS ALL PLASTIC AND NOT VERY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the longest time our heating domes were getting too hot , resulting in the cord warming up which made them stop working . We went through two domes and then found this amazing holder !! It securely sticks to the side of our leopard geckos cage and holds the cord away from the lamp so that it isn’t resting on a hot ceramic piece all day long ! For extra safety we wrapped electrical tape around the base of the tape to prevent any heat from ruining this baby :)
I have been buying these for years I have many reptiles . I’ve never had one fall . You need to set it 24 hours before attaching the light fixture .
The adhesive only sticks for a couple of days before it falls over, the light fixture doesn’t stay in place. Overall 0/5 would not recommend buying.
Ugh. I thought these were like stands I used to own. No, these are cheap, lightweight plastic that you stick on the side of your tank. Not especially safe. If the adhesive does not hold, you now have hot lamps going God knows where- next to your drapes? Onto your rugs? Burning your house down? Nope. Throwing these out. Absolute crap, and very disappointed in Exoterra for even making this.
I was very hopeful for this lamp stand since I have the PennPlax turtle topper basking dock and it hangs off the top of the aquarium about 3/4" each side. I stuck this lamp holder to my wall after cleaning it and the adhesive failed after a few days. Perhaps it will work better with a smaller heat lamp.
Works well with all glass aquarium's, the PA reptile rescue committee uses these alot. Thanks for a great job.
Usless. Don’t waste your money. Stuck it to the tank and as soon as I put the light on it fell.
Poor quality and expensive for the product what is it
Love it, I was tired of having my RES lamp at an angel .Sticks on perfectly and holds the light good. Night have to use zipties if you have an offbrand dome but still works great
