How many pounds would I need for a 20gal aquarium?
Answer by ChewyApr 05, 2020
The amount of rock depends on how deep you would like the the rock in your tank. Multiply the length by the width of the tank and divide by 19. This will give you the amount of gravel needed for a depth of 1 inch.

For the plants

I have radiator heat ( which makes it pretty dry in the winter) and a few tropical plants that really need humidity- despite a humidifier the plants weren't thriving. I got these for pebble trays. I am really liking how they look, a good compliment to the greenery. Not sure how effective they are in the humidity tray, that is still TBD, one plant is definitely looking happier, the others are still trying to decide.

Terrarium rocks

Jade pebbles are as pictured. Good price and product is satisfactory, as I expected. I used the pebbles in a terrarium and the look great.

Polished jade

Wow. Just wow. They look amazing in or out of your tank. My betta loves them too. Tried 3 different kinds of pebbles and this is the one. He lays on them and seems to be very happy. Would recommend for everyone

Beautiful rocks!

These rocks are absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend. I put them in my fish tank with a mix of the other 2 jade rock sizes in my 200 gallon aquarium. I love them.

Most Beautiful Rocks/Gravel I have ever owned

I never write reviews but these stones are beautiful and the photos do not do them justice. It's hard to judge from the product photos also, or even when the bag shows up because they're dry. But the second I started washing them off I was impressed by the greens, yellows, even reds. They look like the small polished stones you buy at crystal shops. I usually lean towards dark colors in my fish tanks but I took a gamble and I love it. I used it in my vintage metaframe tank and they're perfect. Also, I cannot sing enough praises about Chewy's customer service. When you call, you get a real person and they're ALWAYS the nicest, coolest, and best problem solvers.

Gorgeous!!

The colors are even better in person. A lovely variety of greens and whites and the occasional reds and blacks, perfectly represents the range of jade types. Good size as well as polished and smooth

Aquarium Gravel

When I bought this I thought the bag would be bigger. It’s very pretty but I’ll use a larger bag to go underneath this and dress the top layer with this.

Jade Gravel

Looks very natural in our 55 tank for our turtle - I would just get two bags to give more cover and make sure to rinse really well.

Polished jade gravel

Color Didn’t show up as I thought. I thought it would be more green in the water with lighting that I have. It was just ok. Unimpressive in large tank if you want color.

Shiny and pretty!

I used these for some bonsai trees and to cover the soil for some indoor plants. The rocks are 2-3x the size of regular aquarium gravel and look really nice under my plants. They are nicely tumble polished so they are rounded on the edges but still have nice various shapes. Nice variegated greens and natural colors.
