EYS Interactive Roly-Poly Random Laser Cat Toy, Lime Green

We have one cat who loves laser pointers and one cat who has difficulty seeing red laser pointers. This toy has been amazing. The first cat has spent the past week turning this toy on, by himself, in order to play with it. The second cat can only see the laser pointer in a pitch black room, but she will watch the toy itself under regular lighting. This is the best automated cat toy I’ve seen in years, but I don’t think it’s a good gift for a cat that doesn’t like laser pointers. You should expect to charge the toy every few days.

Daisy has learned how to reactivate when it stops. Now she sits next to it and watches the movement before attacking. It needs recharging daily.

This is a really well designed toy. It sits on the floor and points DOWN, so it is unlikely to shine in kitty's eyes, and they can easily activate it with a swipe of a paw. The movement is just erratic enough to attract attention, but not too fast to follow, and they inevitably bump it while chasing the nearby dot, which gets it moving in new patterns. This one's a keeper!
