My cat loves pretty much every toy. He's hyper and it doesn't take much to impress him. This one bored him pretty quickly. Unlike other similar toys, this one has a feather on top that doesn't do anything. It just sits straight up and only moves as the whole thing spins. There's no independent movement, thus offering minimal variety. The toy is exceptionally loud due to the cover tarp. My cat already has a similar toy and the material of the tarp is much better. This one causes such a harsh sound that it's difficult to let run for more than a couple of minutes. The laser is OK, but as expected, only really moves with the spinning of the unit and doesn't offer much in variation. Overall, it works, but it's too expensive for what other similar toys offer with better execution.

My cat loved it. It has 3 settings. Just spinning, spinning and red dot or just red dot. You can change out the toys and it comes with some decent ones. Lasted over a yr now. The down side is the plastic holding the toy on top breaks so easily. There's a screw in the plastic rod to lock it in but the screw falls out easily and can be lost. Then the rod won't lock. I would've given it five stars if you could slow down the spinning a little bit. It works fine with the toy but with the laser, it spins too fast for cats to keep up with it. As soon as they start chasing, it snaps 180 degrees behind them and they lose it. You can only angle the lazer up and down a little. You can't mount it on something tall bcus it won't go down enough. You can set the laser from maybe 1ft- 10ft. The laser work's good it just spins really fast. You pretty much have to have it sitting on the ground not on carpet. I think there are other styles that are made to be mounted higher.

Just okay

The plastic mat is VERY loud, so I just left that off and my cat liked it better. I don't like that this won't stay on more than 2 hrs, after that it shuts off. How does that keep kitty entertained overnight? It doesn't. Very annoying. Otherwise, it's okay and came with a variety of toys that she enjoys playing with and it's easy to attach different other stringed toys to it. It's not worth sending back, but I won't recommend it or buy this brand again.

My 4yom and two foster kittens are literally obsessed with this toy. It’s so simple and I thought it was dumb at first but they cannot get enough of it. My resident cat will literally go sit by it when it’s charging or turned off for me to turn it on for him. The only draw back is the battery life is pretty short so I have to charge it frequently, and the plastic tarp frequently becomes mangled/comes off because they keep attacking it, but not horrible drawbacks for how cheap and loved it is. 10/10 recommend for a young cat.

We bought this toy around 4 months ago and my cats still play with it daily. Cat people - tell me what cat wants to play with the same toy for any length of time without getting bored? This is well made and it holds a charge for a few days - which is a lot since it’s always running. Oh and it has different settings and one of them will pause the toy with inactivity and it resumes once the cat paws at it. It doesn’t squeak or have an annoying sound while running which is surprising since most mechanical cat toys have a sound. Buy this immediately.

Senior Cat is playing like a kitten!

I bought this to help my 2 senior cats get more active. And it has not disappointed. My male is very large with arthritis and he will spend hours laying and playing

I bought this to help my 2 senior cats get more active. And it has not disappointed. My male is very large with arthritis and he will spend hours laying and playing on this. And in the mornings he goes straight to it after his feedings! Meows at us if we dont have it ready after he eats! Our female has played with it well big boy's asleep, cause he's a little territorial about it if he's awake. May have to purchase a second one!!

The lady of the house approves of this toy, however, it has the usual problems of a very short lived charge and no remote. It does have a sensor option, and that's great, but in my opinion all these type toys should have a remote. She loved the spinning action of the butterfly, but the wire is not resilient, it bent down within one hour of play. Now spins around just above the cloth cover for the under the cloth spinner. But it's great there are 2 spinners and they do give you an extra butterfly. The other issue so far is that the top that goes over the cloth twists on and doesn't snap into place when tightened so it loosens up all the time and after rough play comes off. The butterfly also doesn't lock in, so it easily comes off too. The charge lasts an OK amount of time, not as long as some of the other spinner toys but longer than the other one I tried similar to this one and that one doesn't have a sensor option, so this one is better. However, it's basically always needing to be charged. She plays with it a lot and sad when the charge is out. The looks of sadness are difficult to take :). Overall, I think her enjoyment makes the purchase worthwhile, but I have mixed feelings about the charging and build quality for the price.

I have seven cats. Yes, seven. I know, its a lot. Bought a few interactive toys about a month ago to try and help keep a bully preoccupied and entertained so he leaves his victim alone. He LOVES this thing. but so do a few of the others. i have not experienced the battery power loss issue some others have reported. It charges well, and actually lasts days. I do have to turn it back on after hours of no one playing with it, but it stays on and responsive for quite a while. It isnt a fan of the robovac who likes to eat the wormy thing on the arm but otherwise, we are 4 weeks in and it is surviving my wild beast of an Alan, the rest of the crew and robovac. Two thumbs up.

This is a great toy, and my young cats really like it, but there is one design flaw. The cover gets stuck in the groove during play, and then it stops moving. I have to readjust the cover to get it moving, which isn't ideal because I bought the toy to keep them entertained while I'm at work. You can use it without the cover which is probably what I'll have to do.
