It is so cute and fun!

Omg so at first my cats were afraid but once the fear left, they attacked and fell in love! Now my juju is addicted and doesn’t wanna share with his sister! Lol

Omg so at first my cats were afraid but once the fear left, they attacked and fell in love! Now my juju is addicted and doesn’t wanna share with his sister! Lol. I plan to purchase another and many more! It is so cool that you just charge it and no need for batteries. And comes with an extra packet of catnip. And if you don’t like catnip then you can do without. And charging doesn’t take long! So much fun to see them love it!

My little girl loves mechanical toys, she is into everything technical. She's also obsessed with the printer, how the door buzzer works and any toy that moves with or without me. This lobster fits the bill. It's big but she can pounce on it, grab it and give it the "cat hug of death" and kick at it, then stalk it some more. What I don't like is that the charge wears out quickly, like all these toys and none of them come with a remote. The ones with a sensor to turn on are the best, and this one has that, but often they just turn on from movement in the distant area and the charge is very short-lived. It seems sturdy and she loves to play and needs variety so ultimately, this was a good purchase since it entertains her -- My little girl will get very sad if I am busy and don't get to charging all her toys as they run out. I'm hoping her rock lobster will last a long time and keep charging. I am hesitant to review these toys too soon since Chewy doesn't let you update your reviews, and I've only had this a short time, since my last order so a few weeks but so far so good so bear that in mind when considering my review and also your cat's personality.

Entertaining

Without the battery insert Beignet loved it. She would pick it up hug it, fit with it. It was easy for her to pickup and carry, even though she doesn't weigh 7 pounds

Without the battery insert Beignet loved it. She would pick it up hug it, fit with it. It was easy for her to pickup and carry, even though she doesn't weigh 7 pounds. But then again, she runs through the house with my shoe string sneakers attached to the shoes. Once the battery pack is insert, she's interested, but afraid of it.

My 2 cats are littermates and inseparable. They are getting bored with their toys, and I wanted to get them a toy that was more interactive, and by and far this was the best choice I could have made! When I turned it on, and set it on the floor, my male, Cosmo claimed it right away, and played with it until the charge ran out. His sister, Wanda tried to join the play but got the evil eye and a warning swat to stay away. They absolutely love it, even when it needs a charge. A couple of mornings, when I woke up and rolled over, I was staring at the lobster. Wherever Cosmo goes, he brings the lobster with him! Now the decision is to get another lobster for Wanda to play with or get the flopping fish instead. I think I got just as much entertainment watching him play with this!

The video showed the lobster crawling across the floor. This does not crawl forward or backward, it stays in place. It's interesting to the cats at first, but they quickly lost interest. It's got a nicely removeable (and rechargable) motor, but it's just not mobile enough to hold our cats' interest. I also don't appreciate that the video was inaccurate about the way the toy moves.
