What temperature does this maintain? It says thermostatically controlled- What does that mean? At what temperature does it turn on and how hot does it get?

The Heated Pet Mats are all thermostatically controlled to maintain a temperature that cycles between 100°F and 105°F. This is the optimal temperature for pets.

I’m curious if this product would warm the bed space of a truck for winter camping. If so, what is the rough temperature it maintains in below freezing to zero degree temps?

This mat requires that you plug it directly into a 110/120-volt GFCI A/C outlet. It is thermostatically controlled to operate only when necessary. This heated mat is suitable for use in coops, nesting areas, or pens. It should not be used on hay, carpet, or furniture.

The temperature setting.

We have four chickens and a relatively smaller coop. Our coop does accommodate our Brahams, which are large chickens. The pad delivers enough heat to take the chill

We have four chickens and a relatively smaller coop. Our coop does accommodate our Brahams, which are large chickens. The pad delivers enough heat to take the chill out of coop, and does over heat the coop. We generally only use this a night when the temps really drop. Would recommend for sure.

Does well!

Even at -14 degrees outside this morning, this one 60 watt heated chicken mat kept our six hens warm enough at 35 degrees in their coop. They did not seem stressed

Not what I expected

It’s a chicken mat, but I wanted to heat a dog bed with it. Instructions specifically state not to cover it up with blankets or other material. My bad; wish seller

Worked perfectly for my chickens. It stands up nice in a small coop meant for 3. Heats them just enough, not too hot. Very pleased with it. It worked all last winter,

Safe and comfy

My hens love this, gentle radiant heat and they lean in it perched on their roosting bar. They have option of using or not and they definitely prefer it.

Works ok for my indoor outdoor cat

I have a cat house on our deck with a heating pad in it but I added an upside down tote Infront to give him a protected place to eat. I placed this in that area

I have a cat house on our deck with a heating pad in it but I added an upside down tote Infront to give him a protected place to eat. I placed this in that area. It is protected from rain and when he is standing on it it keeps his feet warm and keeps his food from freezing. So, it is helpful. He likes it. I do wish it had a switch, so when he is inside, I can turn it off, like I do with the heating pad .

works well

I like this for my chickens, raises the temperature in the coop during super cold days here in Wisconsin. I took 1 star away because there weren't any pilot holes

I like this for my chickens, raises the temperature in the coop during super cold days here in Wisconsin. I took 1 star away because there weren't any pilot holes drilled or started for hanging. We used brackets which worked OK.
