Is the green tea extract caffeine free?

Why use orange in cat food when oranges are toxic to cats? I see no research to suggest that dehydrated orange is ok for cats or nutritionally beneficial.

Answer by ChewyApr 04, 2019
Oranges are a great source of nutrients and Vitamin C to keep your cat healthy. The manufacturer removes the peels, stems, leaves, and seeds of the orange before production, as these parts of the fruit are considered toxic to cats.

What percentage of carbohydrates is this formula?

Answer by ChewyAug 17, 2020
Farmina Natural & Delicious Chicken & Ancestral Low-Grain Formula Dry Cat Food has a carbohydrate content of approximately 28% on an as fed basis.

The information provided says "This GMO-free formula doesn't contain peas, lentils, pea protein, chickpeas, or added plants oils". However, the ingredients list "pea fiber". Please explain.

Answer by ChewyOct 14, 2019
This food does contain pea fiber, whereas only the pea inner fibre is used. The gluten-free and non-allergen fibres are obtained directly from non-GMO peas. Whole peas would contain an allergen which certain pets are sensitive to. Pea fiber is low in fat and has no taste or smell. It is the natural way to increase fiber without effecting texture or taste. Pea fiber can also help decrease the fat content of the food, since it has such a low fat content, and work as a binding agent.

I switched to this from the other Chicken & Pom. All 3 kitties still love it, maybe a little more. I am hoping my overweight cat (she doesn't get enough exercise because of physical deformities) will shed some weight from switching too.

Expensive but I promise it’s worth it

Both my cats have been on this cat food for years now and I will not feed them any other dry cat food. First off all the ingredients are natural and the food doesn’t have disgusting fillers. Also just want to say my boy cat had struvite stones years ago before Farmina, the vet wanted me to use a urinary tract cat food but all of them had disgusting fillers. I did A LOT of research to find something that had low magnesium and low ash that was comparable to urinary tract cat foods and farmina was the winner. My cat has not had any stones since he’s been on this food. The only downside is Zeni likes it a little too much and eats it way too fast !

Received this bag today and happened to read that it is made in Serbia!! Chewy is misinforming us! I have been feeding my cats this for years. We should have been informed that the product is NOT made in Italy. Now made in Serbia's. Makes a big difference to me feeding this to my pets. I asked for a return and was given a refund. Please chewy tell us where your food product is truly made. We care about our pets

That it was made at a lower temperature to preserve the nutrients.

The first time that I put it out for my cats they could not get enough. My picky cats ate dry for the first time in years. I will continue to buy this produc

No More Blue Buffalo

Decided to give them even better dry food with their wet. One cat, my 16 year old Lynx, who hasn’t eaten dry food in years Loves it. So does Binx. Healthy Clean

Decided to give them even better dry food with their wet. One cat, my 16 year old Lynx, who hasn’t eaten dry food in years Loves it. So does Binx. Healthy Clean Ingredients. Weaned her off Blue Buffalo by mixing both. Now, just Farmina. Definitely a Keeper.

Great for my picky eater

Picked this brand to transition my picky eater cat to a different food I was hoping she'd accept. Did the slow transition where I fed 75% previous diet / 25% new diet and moved 25% each week. Now she's at the point where after I give her the portion of her previous diet, she sits and waits until I pour the new diet (Farmina) in her bowl before she starts eating. She clearly has a preference for this food and has been very picky with foods in the past.
