Can I give a small amount of this to my 6 month old puppy mixed with your lamb puppy dry food ?
Answer by ChewyAug 27, 2020
N&D Prime Dog Lamb & Blueberry Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance of Adult dogs. It is not recommended for puppies.

How long can I keep in refrigerator after opening. Can I freeze any of the food after opening.
Answer by ChewyAug 01, 2020
Opened cans should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any cat or dog food remaining after that time should be thrown out. Do not freeze canned cat or dog food as it can change the texture and taste of the food.

what is the fat content?
Answer by ChewyApr 08, 2020
This variety contains approximately 6.5% Fat content on an as fed basis (29.5% on a dry matter basis).

GREAT STUFF

Farmina dog food is the BEST thing I've ever fed my dogs. They all LOVE it and the ingredients are so good for them. It is also cold processed, so doesn't get harmful reactions that hot processed foods do. Their coats have become more vibrant and healthy. I highly recommend you give this food a try. Their dry food is amazing as well.

best brand for pet food I’ve found

Picky dog owners, look no further… the Farmina flavors are the only brand my dog will consistently eat. The boar flavor is her favorite but this is a close second. The texture is minced/shredded meat with lots of broth, almost like in between a pate and shreds. Farmina makes all their foods low glycemic and highly digestible, which is really good for most animals but especially if your animals struggle with weight or are diabetic, this is a good food. They are also all limited ingredient which is helpful for allergies. The dry food line is also excellent and is the only dry food that doesn’t cause my cat with weight issues to balloon. Farmina is a vet brand from Italy. Although it is expensive it is a much higher quality than the vet brands we are familiar with in the US. I also noticed a big difference in health feeding this vs other “premium” brands that do not have a strong veterinary backing. Best of both worlds with Farmina; veterinarian backed AND high quality.

Too much water

This food is expensive but, was well worth it. I understand what is happening in the country with the economy but, I am not paying more for more water, less food. Maybe it is the blueberries? Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing this one flavor. I didn't notice this happening to the other ones. I hope they don't change. My little girl has health issues, Farmina is easier for her to digest.

My dog thinks it is tasty

My schnoodle likes this food. I chose it because it is not chicken and it contains Taurine. My vet recommended that taurine be in any food I choose. I use this mostly as a topper, not the main food. It provides variety for my pup.

N&D canned dog food

Our dog loved the canned prime lamb and blueberry wet food, and it really smells delicious. I mix it with the N&D lamb and blueberry kibble for a very healthy diet.

Canned dog food

My dog loves this food, one sniff and she was hooked!! She is 15 years old and after a recent bout with pancreatitis my vet recommended this food. It is helping her tummy troubles I'm so glad the food is helping with that. I will be ordering again!

Heat it up for best results

I had read a few reviews complaining about what the food looks like when you open the can. Its just solidified fat and when you heat up the food it melts in to a delicious meal. I use it as a kibble topper for my fussy Mini Aussie and he ate it so I am sold on the quality and tastiness of this food. I have just ordered more flavors today to see if he likes them.

Outstanding product

Asked to write a review, however I wish to make it perfectly clear CHEWY, that I am NOT a "pet parent". You degrade the whole canine species by insisting that the primates in their lives are their "parents." With that said, excellent quality and ingredients-particularly for older dogs.

interesting stuff

seems like quality food, smells good, chunks of actual meat, this is not a pate type food, a bit sloppy, but thickens if refrigerated first. Gus seems to like it and it seems to agree with him. Chunks of pure fat in it. a bit pricey for 6 small cans, but no funny stuff in it.

Excellent dog and cat food

I feel confident feeding my animals this food. Excellent ingredients. Never recalled that I can find and my dog and cats like it.
