How long can I keep in refrigerator after opening. Can I freeze any of the food after opening.

Opened cans should be stored in the fridge, at temperatures between 40-45°F, for a maximum of 5-7 days. Any cat or dog food remaining after that time should be thrown out. Do not freeze canned cat or dog food as it can change the texture and taste of the food.

Can I give a small amount of this to my 6 month old puppy mixed with your lamb puppy dry food ?

N&D Prime Dog Lamb & Blueberry Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance of Adult dogs. It is not recommended for puppies.

On the plus side our aging, finicky Yorkie seemed to like to eat this. On the down side, as I poked through the food with a fork before serving, some of the meat pieces were actually globs of fat. So, I separated those out and disposed of them. Other than that, quality seemed good but it is very pricey.

We started feeding Farmina brand foods to our puppy from the get-go, only dry food for the first 10 months but recently started using this as a “topper” since “some doggo” was jealous of the cat’s wet food. I have never opened a can of dog food and been able to identify ingredients on sight or by smell. Dog loves the food and we feel great about the quality of the food she eats. Bonus points: it doesn’t seem to stain her white fur around the mouth. Farmina isn’t a well known brand in the U.S. but when we read the research on it, we were impressed, and hope others find this stellar pet food.

Very fatty

I started with your canned dog food about a year ago, specifically the N&D prime lamb and blueberry. When we started feeding them, the canned food looked great and

I started with your canned dog food about a year ago, specifically the N&D prime lamb and blueberry. When we started feeding them, the canned food looked great and healthy. But for past 2-3 months, all of the cases of canned food have been extremely fatty. Huge layer of fat on the top, big chunks of fat in the middle, and a layer on the bottom. I’ve attached a photo of a freshly opened can. I am switching off the canned food because all this fat is not healthy for my dogs.

I very happily purchased the smaller cans 3-4 times before, and was amazed with the quality. I thought I'd buy the larger can size for a better $/oz however the

I very happily purchased the smaller cans 3-4 times before, and was amazed with the quality. I thought I'd buy the larger can size for a better $/oz however the formula seems totally different, which is really disappointingfor the price point. The small cans are practically solid food, no liquid pools in can when opened but the larger cans are basically all liquid. I guess I'm switching back to the small cans but if the liquid content is too high I will not be buying Farmina canned food again.

I had a friend that suggested this wet and dry food. My dog is trying to lose weight so she gets a cup and a half of the dry and three tablespoons of the wet with warm water in the morning and then a cup of the dry in the evening with water. She seems to be much more satisfied on this than on the previous food I had her on.
