Great ingredients, wanted to love it, but

The ingredients impressed me. They are clean and nutrient dense. I have 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs. My female dog hates the taste. She literally spits these big morsels out rather than chew and swallow. Unfortunately, it smells a little like a barn as soon as you open the bag too. My boy Berner is eating it, but slowly and unenthusiastically. I won't buy again

They Need to fix appeal

I’m encouraged by their clean ingredients and nutritional value, but I’ve tried a couple of their flavors and my dog absolutely hates the brand. I don’t know if it’s a combination of flavor and kibble size/crunch, but he won’t eat more than a weeks worth of it.

picky eater proof

After my female Australian shepherd was spayed we had some serious issues getting her back on track with her normal feeding. She began turning her nose up at everything except freeze dried raw. This was absolutely not sustainable. farmina bag arrived and the quality, freshness, and moisture were evident. This is the biggest difference I see between other kibbles. All the dogs love this change we’ve made.

Great product

My dogs were getting tired of their old food. They would go days without eating it, even if I added more tasty toppings. I was also trying to find a solution for my 160 lb. Newfoundland and his food sensitivity. So far they love the taste, size of kibble, and that saves me having to add toppers. It is still early to see if this food will work to keep the itching at bay.

Top-quality food that my dogs love to eat!

After our vet recommended switching to a grain-containing dog food, I did quite a bit of research and picked this Farmina flavor for my Collies to try. Compared to other dog foods on the market, it's got an overall great combination of high crude protein content, low fat content, and grain content. My pups absolutely love it and enjoy eating it as much as they like their treats, which amazes me! I think they especially love the lamb and blueberry taste--and the fact that the kibbles are coated with fish oils that add extra flavor (but surprisingly do not make the food smell!). It certainly is pricey, but to me, it's worth the investment for them!

First meal a hit

My Pittie pup decided he didn't like any type of moist food. He had been on raw and was slowly just not wanting it, same with any canned or Fresh Pet. Even a little of my homemade stew didn't fly! Switched to kibble and freeze dried. He loves the freeze dried, but to feed that exclusively for a dog this size is impossible, cost wise, at least with 20+ other critters. I was giving him some of the kibble my Mini Aussie eats (she has many issues and also refuses any type of moist food) but he seemed to have difficulty with the small kibbles. After much research, found this in the larger kibble. It came HIGHLY recommended. Smells nice, no wheat, corn, soy or peas. Awesome! His first bowl (with a some freeze dried) was inhaled!!! He hasn't eaten a full meal in months. I started with the lamb, also got some chicken. If all goes as planned, will be getting the big bag! I definitely prefer them to eat raw, but if they won't, they won't. The ingredients are great and I'm going to try the small kibbles for the picky Aussie.

Just good food!

I rehomed a older(8)German Shepherd female eight months ago. The former owner made me promise to feed N&D Ancestral food, which she had eaten from puppy days. I've had a number of shepherds over the years and have always fed a quality food. I do not find N&D any more expensive than others, and have found I feed a bit less to keep her weight down. I alternate between the chicken and lamb based, because she has a sensitive tummy. Other than runny poop when I first brought her home, (stress from leaving the only home she had known), there have been no issues. I do add an cooked egg in the am and a bit of vegetable in the evening, alomg with a squirt of salmon oil, she eats eagerly. My 17 year old cat always has to grab a kibble or two for a treat. I have noticed no offending odor, but store it in an airtight container. I also mix some of the old flavor with each change. My groomer says she has the nicest coat she has seen on a shepherd. Highly recommend.

Finally found our food!

I have a dog with seasonal allergies and a senstive tummy / GI. We've tried many foods, and have finally found one that works for us! Before this, we tried a lot of different proteins, and the big name brands and their formulas for sensitive tummies. The result was always an itchy dog with chronic ear infections from yeast. After about a month of fully being on this Farmina food, we finally have consistently solid poops, and have not had any ear infections! We are so grateful to have finally found a food that agrees with our pups tummy. In my opinion, it is worth the price.

Dogs Love It !

Our golden retrievers love this food ! I was looking for quality ingredients good for large breeds. I like some grain in their food. I worry about feeding too much chicken and the lamb was a great choice !

Almost Perfect

Our staffy is about 3 years old, 50 lbs, and moderately active with allergy issues that we are still trying to figure out. Since we try a different brand/type of food every time we need a new bag, we didn't bother with a transition period, and she was perfectly fine with no digestive upset. It worked wonders to resolve her dandruff and gave her plenty of energy for her daily zoomies. But after awhile I noticed that she was straining to poop, and her turds were too firm. Despite drinking plenty of water, it was like she was perpetually constipated. The brand we switched to after this gave her perfect poops within days, so I think this formula just doesn't have as much insoluble fiber as she needs.
