I've been feeding Farmina for a couple years After I discontinued raw. All was great for quite awhile. Noticed bags stopped arriving vacuum sealed and since then quality started to deteriorate. The kibble is noticeably different (lesser) quality than it was in the past with its strong smell of freshness, oily coating that made you know this was some high quality kibble. My Corso started having allergy issues out of absolute nowhere about 3 months ago. Vet said secondary skin infection due to underlying allergy. His skin is scaly, flakey, yeasty paws, dull coat, alopecia. Flat out his skin health stinks. Couldn't figure out why.... Until I saw a recent review here. SURE ENOUGH Farmina changed their formula to include Chicken protein, chicken meat, ect in their Lamb & blueberries formula. Previously the only chicken product in the food was chicken fat (if I remember correctly). There's whole chicken in this now.... And Corso's along with many other breeds are prone to severe chicken allergies. Nothing in his lifestyle changed both indoor and outdoor. It's the dang kibble. And it's not the first time this happened. I discovered this on their other formula that hid chicken in the ingredients and my dogs instantly improved when I changed to less/no chicken products on the ingredients. I'm really disappointed. Even more so that they hid it and pulled the ingredients images on the product. No wonder they randomly raised the price. I'm gonna try a small bag of fish formula but have a feeling I'll ultimately be moving back to feeding raw diet. Gonna say it flatout... I NEVER HAD THE ISSUES I'VE BEEN FACED WITH when my dogs ate Raw. Not a single issue. 95% chance of stopping my monthly purchases with this brand. Not happy...

BEWARE OF INGREDIENT CHANGE

After months of terrible skin problems out of the blue I rechecked the ingredients on this food. I found CHICKEN PRODUCT HAS BEEN ADDED! My dog cannot tolerate chicken

After months of terrible skin problems out of the blue I rechecked the ingredients on this food. I found CHICKEN PRODUCT HAS BEEN ADDED! My dog cannot tolerate chicken and believe this has created an issue. After speaking at length with Farmina, They did admit chicken was added for flavor! And NO THEY DID NOT INFORM CUSTOMERS OF THIS CHANGE! My dog has eaten this food for a long time and loved it with no issues until chicken was added, but since I recently changed his food Im hoping for no more skin issues. I let Farmina know how negligent and deceitful their decision not to inform customers was and how many dogs can be negatively effected by this change. My dog has suffered greatly and so has my pocket after trips to the vet and many very expensive allergy pills for symptoms that wouldn’t subside without them. My vet questioned if my dog food had any chicken ingredients at all and I told him no definitely not. WELL,after checking the bag again, and going online to double check I found out different. Farmina suggested their fish formula but I refuse to do business with and trust my dog’s health to a company that intentionally deceives their customers. I recommended this food to many friends that I now will inform them to change immediately. Please inform Farmina if you have any issues.

So good

Love that my dog who is a little allergic to chicken can eat this and he doesn’t chew on his paws anymore like he was when I had him on the chicken and pomegranate

Quality

Quality ingredients. Dog eats it without toppers. Even the cat munches on the dogs food. She thinks it's a treat.

Our Staffy was having digestive problems with the grain version of this food. We started over with a bland diet and prescription canned food and slowly introduced this kibble. He loves the taste and no digestive problems. Primarily a single ingredient food so easy to pinpoint if having any allergy or digestive issues.

The order arrived very quickly

Farmina is a great dog food. I ordered a large bag of 24-26 lb and not the 5.5 lb that shows in this post.

Bad Batch???!

Now I didn’t want to write this review because I haven’t had an issue with this brand but on March 10 I received a new bag of food and about a week of my dog eating this food I started noticing that his feces was not coming out solid how they used to shortly after he started getting explosive diarrhea. I switched his food and I’m no longer having that problem. I am on an auto ship with chewy and forgot to cancel my order. I’m now skeptical of giving my dog this dog food. I’ll write an update if it does him no good again!
