Our golden retriever has adjusted well to this food but we haven’t had any weight loss yet. Her vet wanted us to feed her 4 cups per day. Our senior golden weighs 108 lbs. Since eating 4 cups per day she has increased her weight by 7lbs, so cut back her food to 3 cups per day. We shall see if she drops weight.

This is probably unusual, but we use this low-cal kibble, recommended by a veterinary nutritionist, for treats! It really helps keep Koby’s weight down and he’s always happy to get one or two of these kibbles instead of more caloric treats. Of course he doesn’t get those too, but in great moderation- the Farmina is his main reward.
