Hi! The image says 'in fresh natural water' but in the ingredients list it says it contains canola oil. Also, on the manufacturer's site there is no mention of canola oil in this flavor. Do these cans contain canola oil or not? Thank you.

Answer by ChewyFeb 16, 2018
While reformulating the Feline Natural formulas to the new AAFCO standards, the manufacturer took the opportunity to revisit the current ingredient list, with the aim of delivering a more favorable offering. In doing so they have removed Canola oil. Canola oil was included as part of the fortifier and made up less than 0.001% of the formula, as a replacement they now include Sunflower oil.

What are the white chunks in the food? Some cans have small spots of it and some have larger chunks of it. Is it bone?

Answer by ChewyDec 19, 2018
The white specs are small bits of fat that have become separated during heating in the canning process. The Feline Natural cans are free from any gels or binding agents whatsoever, just fresh New Zealand water, which means you’re more likely to notice the nutritious whole food ingredients.

Is it bpa free can?

Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2017
All Feline Natural cans are BPA-free.

Looks like the new formula added Taurine, Magnesium Oxide and Copper Proteinate. I get the taurine for cats, but why the other minerals? Were these changes just to bring them complient with AAFCO?

Answer by ChewyJul 14, 2018
The AAFCO pet food nutrient profiles have recently been updated, based upon new research and data. Feline Natural has made formula changes based upon this data and is always looking for ways to improve upon their formula's. Feline Natural is formulated to meet AAFCO requirements for all life stages, from kittens right through to adults.

My cats love the Chicken & Lamb Feast (even the picky eater) but only if it comes from the pouch packaging. When I gave them the one from the can they sniffed and walked away. Not sure what makes each different if they're the same 'flavor'??

Cats liked it first try

The cats liked it without hesitation. The ingredient list seemed healthy, and New Zealand seems to produce good pet food products.

My senior 16 yo cat loved it

She was hooked with the ingredient and just kept on eating it. I'll buy some more.
