I have a dog with severe food sensitivities. What is fishmeal made of? Cod, haddock? Can you be more specific so I can know if she has had it Before ? Thank you

This comes from two sources, one source is Pacific Herring caught and processed in British Columbia in Canada, the second source is a mixed fish caught primarily off the coast of Peru.

Is this made in USA with USA ingredients?

Answer by ChewyAug 11, 2020
FirstMate sources their lamb from New Zealand and Australia, their chicken from Canada and some from the USA and the fish from both Canada and fisheries around Peru. The balance of their grains comes from primarily Canada, and the vitamins and minerals from Canada and Europe. They do not source any ingredients from third world countries.

This brand was recommended to me by my dog's breeder as one of the few brands who take care to source quality ingredients. As far as I'm aware, FirstMate has not had to recall any dog food because of bacteria or bad ingredients making its way into their food manufacturing process. Most of all, my dog loves the taste, she's very healthy, energetic, and has grown to be a large German Shepherd (95-pound female) who is tall, big boned, and not overweight.

Change in size?

It was not the small size bits my 10 pound pup is used to. It's twice the size. What happened? Did I order incorrectly?
