My cat won't even try it

My cat isn't particularly fussy, but I can't even get her to try ONE bite of this food. She loves her current 'Ocean Herring & Orange' flavor dry food from another brand, but it's just too expensive to be sustainable for me. I chose this particular product because it was a bit cheaper, and the 'Ocean Fish & Blueberries' flavor seemed similar enough in flavor that my cat would at least try it but even though I gradually introduced the new food as I've always done (and is recommended by vets), she refuses to taste even a single piece of it. She barely even gives it a sniff, so I assume the smells/taste just isn't for her :(

High Quality

I have been using FirstMate dry food for over five years. I recently switched from the chicken flavor to seafood since my cat appears to have food allergies. A family friend has worked in the pet food industry for years and knows the companies. He says FirstMate is a very good company from how it is run and how ingredients are sourced. I do want to give a shout out to Chewy for being so helpful with returns so I could figure out my cat's food situation.

cats love it

I love that it is healthy (uses fish that are small and very low in mercury) and very calorie dense too so it’s great value. My cats are very fussy and tend to only like dry food that has a very high percentage of protein which this does, they love it.

my senior cat loves it!

My cat seriously thinks this dry food is a treat instead of a meal. The ingredients are really healthy and I can tell that she isn’t as bloated in her belly area anymore after using this food and she has more energy! I would say it is worth the price.

Great food

My 2-1/2 year old 100%indoor adopted Tuxedo cat, was chewing chunks of hair off his body for 2 months. I had his vet do a thorough blood analysis. He is allergic to 6 different foods, which almost all are found in most dry foods. He has been eating this as a grazing food all day and twice a day has canned food. So far so good. He loves the taste.

Picky cats

Unfortunately my cats didn’t like this. It’s a great food though I think based on ingredients and reviews. I’ll feed it to my ferals who will eat anything. Back to the drawing board for my domestic kitties.

My cat loves it but pricey

I was given this product as a sample. My cat loves it. It’s pretty pricey, so I give a small portion to her as her afternoon treat, instead of a regular meal.
