I read that this lamp is compatible with 100W CHE but that the dimmer cannot be used on anything over 75W is that true?

The 100W CHE can be used, but the dimming option does not work for compact fluorescent or mercury vapor bulbs and should not be used for bulbs over 75W.

The summer is great. It’s a smaller lamp but still holds the Arcadia 75 w bulb. Great for vertical enclosures with less space

Perfect for dimming

Is holding up nicely as well as giving off perfect amount of heat. I am using it with a 150watt CHE and it does dim it!

Good lamp BUT, it will not 'dim' Fluker's own CHE - it only dims normal bulbs.

I bought these precisely because they noted they could be used with ceramic heat emitters, but they will not work with CHEs (even though I bought Fluker's own CHE

I bought these precisely because they noted they could be used with ceramic heat emitters, but they will not work with CHEs (even though I bought Fluker's own CHE bulbs). They work wonderfully to dim regular reptile bulbs, but the CHEs will not come on unless the lamps are turned all the way up. I can recommend these highly for normal bulbs, and will likely purchase additional for that purpose, but I'll need to find something else that will work with CHEs.

More efficient

I bought the non-dimming version first and the room got so hot it was unbearable because it runs full-blast until it reaches the temp set in the thermostat before

I bought the non-dimming version first and the room got so hot it was unbearable because it runs full-blast until it reaches the temp set in the thermostat before kicking off, then coming back on shortly after when the temps drop. With the summer ability less heat is being emitted into the room and it’s saving my bulbs.

Damaged

I've bought these lamp fixtures in the past and they worked great for using above my bird and reptile cages. They didn't make any sounds and bulbs lasted a long

I've bought these lamp fixtures in the past and they worked great for using above my bird and reptile cages. They didn't make any sounds and bulbs lasted a long time. I reordered two to replace them and these were both damaged. The lamps turned on but had a high-pitched sound and broke bulbs fast.
