Are they live crickets?

Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2018
These aren't live crickets.

How many crickets come in the can?

Answer by ChewySep 26, 2022
There are approximately 50 crickets in each can.

Ik this may seem stupid but could they be used for a snake (sorry I, a first time owner

Answer by ChewyNov 15, 2019
These canned crickets can be offered to insectivorous snakes, like green snakes, as a treat, or as a part of a balanced diet. Crickets should not be offered to species like boas or pythons that do not hunt for insects in the wild.

Are they gut loaded?

Answer by ChewySep 24, 2020
These crickets are not gut loaded.

Thought I’d try them because our bearded dragon liked live crickets

Yoki ( our bearded dragon) doesn’t serm to care much for these crickets. He eats them minimally, I guess after his spinach and Fluckers Medley if he is still hungry

Never again 🤮

So, the crickets arrived today in box that had a 35 lb bucket of kitty litter in it. As you can see in the photo, it was crushed. Inside the can was DISGUSTING!

So, the crickets arrived today in box that had a 35 lb bucket of kitty litter in it. As you can see in the photo, it was crushed. Inside the can was DISGUSTING! It was a swampy, stinky, rotten mess of what USED to be crickets. I thought these were supposed to be live, but with how they were packed in there it's just not possible for them to have been alive. I think I learned my lesson about ordering crickets from Chewy.

My Bearded Dragon LOVES these

I was searching for an alternative to live crickets, because the supply was intermittent and it was a pain driving to the store all the time. I debated about these after some mused reviews. Well, I started with a couple of cans and now, my Bearded Dragon goes insane for these. When I walk up the cage with, say, chopped yellow squash, he’ll eat it, but only because he’s hungry. When I walk up the cafe with this can, as soon as he sees the can, OUTSIDE his cage, he literally lunges for the can. Even if he’s perched on his “tree”, he leaps off and sometimes even hits his nose on the glass trying to get to the can. In fact, a couple of times, I had the door open as I opened the can and I had to put my hand out to stop him from jumping OUT of his cage to get to these. I’m not sure if there’s a counseling service available for this, but, I’m telling you, he is COMPLETELY addicted to these canned crickets. Oh, and the funniest part, I use a pair of tweezers to feed him and, if I just put some on the rug I’d his cage, he acts insulted that he has to feed himself. I’ve purchased live crickets a few times over the past year, and I swear he’s forgotten how to catch and eat them. He wants to be hand…well, tweezer, fed now… I can’t speak for all Bearded Dragons or all reptiles, but my dude, he can’t get enough! All I can say is, give ‘em a try and see…
