The moss looked nice in the crabitat for a day or so, then my hermit crabs buried the moss in the coconut husk substrate. I unburied it, then they buried it again. Each of my three crabs has his own ways of doing things, so I imagine your crabs might like the moss better than mine.

After buying this item, I'm very shocked to see how many people gave it 5 stars. I am very unhappy with this buy. I got the tiniest amount of dried moss in a plastic bag, and it was in multiple, very tiny pieces. I would have had to buy probably 4-5 packs to have enough. Since there was almost no moss in my package, my crabs didn't even take notice of it in their home. I went to a reptile show and found you can get a HUGE bag of moss for only $7. This is such a ripoff product from a normally quality company. Did I just end up with a particularly terrible bag? I don't know, but I'm never buying it again to find out. Don't waste your money on this.

I bought this live moss for my daughter's hermit crabitat to spruce things up a bit for them. She has 4 hermit crabs in a 10 gallon tank. This live moss adds a natural effect and they just love it. They like to crawl on it, in it and under it. I highly recommend this for your crabitat too!

I got this moss to use in my corn snake tank to help add humidity and my only complaint is that it dries out fairly quickly (about a few hours) most likely because it's under a 50w bulb.

I loved the live moss. Dry when I arranged them around my hermits tank and then I wet them with some water and they came alive! My hermit loves them as well; climbs and chews on them.
