So far I've had really great results with this media for my Fluval AC30 aquarium filter! I'm currently working on tearing down an old tank and with the help of this media it's definitely cleared up the water more than with just the sponge alone. My only complaint is that it has a very strong chemical smell after opening to the point that I didn't want to place it in the tank after rinsing it, so I ended up soaking it in a bucket of clean tank water for about 24 hours. That seemed to do the trick, so keep that in mind if you want to use this right away!

There are several different media choices for refills in your Fluval Filter Pumps. This one Fits AC20 and AC30 size filters and contains Zeolite and Carbon granules. The zeolite absorbs ammonia and the carbon helps clear the water. Zeolite is particularly important early in the cycling of your aquarium before your beneficial bacteria are established.

Being a zero carbon filter I was weary that the filter wouldn’t be all that good. Ha jokes on me. This little filter is a power house. It keeps my 10 gallon sparkling

Being a zero carbon filter I was weary that the filter wouldn’t be all that good. Ha jokes on me. This little filter is a power house. It keeps my 10 gallon sparkling clean. It’s recommended to change out every month, but I’ve noticed with a good rinse you can get longer out of it (wouldn’t recommend doing this for a larger tank). Water flow through it is exceptional.

Nice sized zeocarb

I like activated carbon with zeolite. Zeolite does a great job of removing any excess ammonia. I tend to understock my aquariums, but I like to use a zeolite-ammonia
