Works but not well

I love the design but the tips are quite sharp and the self cleaning feature allows the tips to stick thru and you have to be careful in removing the hair. My dog will only allow me to use it for a short time compared to other brushes I have used.

Too Scratchy

The needles are made of wire and are very fine. I think they’re too scratchy for my dog. She doesn’t enjoy being brushed with it and runs away when she sees it.

My dog doesn't even seemed bother with me brushing him and his fur is somewhat like wool so that helps alot.1

Great brush

This brush is great for cats and dogs. It is not harsh and does not hurt their skin. My cats love for me to de-shed then work this brush.

Four Paws Magic Coat Professional Series Self Cleaning Slicker Dog Brush

I was really hoping I would like this brush. I like the design, the way it works, however, the bristles are way too sharp, even for the long hair dogs and no matter how gentle you apply pressure.

Great for my 1YO GSD

I like that this particular brush has longer bristles than another I purchased. Works great for my GSD, I'd forgotten how much they shed, and purchased this especially for him. Decades ago I had a similar brush, this new design works much better, IMO.
