How often should you need to dump the entire litternox and replace all the cat litter?
Answer by ChewyJul 23, 2018
How frequently the litter box will need to be fully cleaned out will vary greatly. It would depend on how many cats are using the box, how frequently they use the box, how often the box is being scooped, among other factors.

How dusty is Fresh Step Clean Paws? Clay litter makes me skeptical.
Answer by ChewyFeb 26, 2018
This litter contains the lowest-dust in Fresh Step that clumps easily for effortless clean-up, and minimizes crumbling for more efficient scooping.

Is there a “Clean Paws” formula that’s unscented?
Answer by ChewyFeb 16, 2018
At this time the manufacturer does not offer a Clean Paws version that is unscented.

Does the clean paws version have the same consistency to the fresh step simply unscientific 25 lb. box
Answer by ChewyMar 01, 2018
The Clean Paws formula is designed with a special blend of larger particles that won’t stick as much to your cats’ fur and paws as opposed to the Simply Unscented formula that uses smaller particles, so there's a change in consistency.

Formula Change? Clumps stay wet.

Not sure what happened to Fresh Step Multi-Cat formula, but it no longer looks or works the same. I've used this litter for several years and the last purchase looked different upon opening. The litter is much darker than before. More charcoal that light grey. Not a problem in itself. The problem is that the clumps not longer dry. I just cleaned the litter box a few days ago and already have to clean it again bc the litter is sticking to the bottom and sides. This is particularly difficult bc I have Litter Robot so wet litter attaches to the sides and top when cycling. Please bring back the old formula! This current formula is unusable in my opinion.

I use Fresh Step Clean Paws! It and practically all Fresh Step litters are Out of Stock. I went to my local pet and grocery store and found an abundant supply! So what's up Chewy? Because I'm 81 it is really great to order by mail because it is delivered to my CCRC and brought directly to my apartment!! Weight is a problem, BUT I have purchased at the pet store and sought help from a neighbor to bring it into my apartment.

This litter is not good, It may be bigger pieces but it still tracks, & It is making my cat sneeze, I don't know what the problem is lately with fresh step litter but it's not the same, Will not waste my money on this product!

Does what it says!!

We have wood floors and this litter definitely doesn't stick to my cats paws. Our kitchen is a step down from the dining room and pool room, open floor plan, so I can look across the floor to where one of my cat boxes are and there is very, very little cat litter on the wood floor!! I am so happy because I've been concerned about the damage the cat litter was doing to our wood floors. I thought I wouldn't need to be concerned anymore about the damage to our wood floors. This was the first time I ordered this cat litter, I hadn't seen it before. I just started my next order and the litter is out of stock!! I will continue to order it as long as it continues to work and is in stock.

Not as expected

For years our cats used Tidy Cats, but it was frequently found to be mostly dust so we searched for a new litter and found Fresh Step. After using Fresh Step for a time it too was found to be too dusty, so the search was resumed and we found Fresh Step Clean Paws in the box form. It was awesome. Large granules and very little dust. Since the box was significantly more expensive than the 4-bag version I ordered the latter. Sadly, it was found to be nothing more than regular Fresh Step with a different outer wrapper. Small granules and dust. While this is not a Chewy problem, it is a manufacturing problem. We will try the box version again, but never the 4-bag version again. Hopefully the box is as it was first tried. If not, the search for a better litter will resume.

great product

we've been using this litter for over 5 years now. it has been consistent in it's quality and in the end result. Did i mention that we have 7 little poopers that we live with. we scoop everyday, 5 litter boxes. So our review is based on Industrial use . It preforms so well for us, That i can only guess, that a 1 or 2 cat home will be well covered with this litter (no pun intended). We highly recommend this litter. And it absorbs and traps the urine in easily scooped balls/chunks. we could go on and on. however we hope that our positive relationship with Fresh Step. help's you make your decision.

not less tracking

When you were out of my preferred you suggested this but it’s very different with a significant scent. I’m dumping it and looking for my preferred locally which really bums me out.

Old fashioned clay litter

It doesn't track but it doesn't clump. I use 2 boxes so I had to use a box a week rather than daily scooping and changing out the whole box(es) every 2 weeks. Mo

Worst litter ever!

I bought this thinking it would save me time! IT DOUBLED THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TOOK ME TO CLEAN IN AND AROUND THE PANS. I have 12 cats and it packed into the pads of all of them. They tracked this used litter 5+ feet away from the pans. I dumped this litter (used and unused) and replaced it with Frisco brand litter. Problem solved!!

Horrible Product - Save Your Money!

It is awkwardly packaged and difficult to get out of the container but the worst thing is you practically need a street drill to get the used litter off the bottom of the pan. Just the worst litter I have come across and expensive, too. I don't how they sell it. I am back to less expensive litter that does the job, is less expensive and not a menace to clean.
