Is the base of this post weighted? My cat likes to really pull down/throw her weight into it when she's scratching and sometimes pulls them down completely.

My cats like it

They come downstairs in the morning and use it to scratch on. So they and I both like it for that. My only concern is my 8 month old kitten got her claw stuck in

They come downstairs in the morning and use it to scratch on. So they and I both like it for that. My only concern is my 8 month old kitten got her claw stuck in the ball when playing with it and the ball is high up on the post. She was having trouble getting her stuck claw out because it was up high.. luckily I was home and could get it unstuck.. I was tempted to remove it or lower it down or put a longer rope.

This is a cute scratch post but unfortunately it’s on the smaller side and my kitty won’t use it. She’s on the smaller side, full grown around 8 pounds. She’s can’t stretch out all the way when she scratches so unfortunately she’s reverted back to her kitten bad habit of scratching the couch. Overall, if you have a tiny cat, this is a great and affordable option!!

I bought this because of its affordability. The down side is that when I received it, it had alot of staples sticking out. One of them even poked me enough to draw

I bought this because of its affordability. The down side is that when I received it, it had alot of staples sticking out. One of them even poked me enough to draw blood. I reached out to customer service via Chewy and they provided me with a refund. I was able to properly push in some of the staples and safely removed others. It stayed in tact. Aside from the staples, it’s sturdy and my kittens enjoy it.

They like to get rough and so far, the post is holding up well. Easy to put together too. Takes less than 2 minutes. I bought 2 and I'd buy 2 more in the future.

If my cat liked it I wouldnt mind but she bever went near it. Not even to investigate which is not like her. I should have known better because of the low price.

I wanted a sisal cat scratcher that was taller for my boy cat to stretch while he’s scratching his claws, and this tree turned out to be the perfect height! It’s not too steady for him to not knock it over if he tried, but it doesn’t fall over if he stretches against it normally. If you’re looking to not break that bank but want to give your adult cat a taller scratcher, this one works perfectly fine.

Nice looking but flimsy

It looks nice but it’s flimsy. My kitten has knocked it over multiple times while trying to use it. My others cats won’t even touch it since it’s not stable enough

Nice for the price

This is a nice small scratcher, perfect for small spaces, in bedrooms, to use as a supplemental to the big scratchers. I only gave it four stars as it should be

This is a nice small scratcher, perfect for small spaces, in bedrooms, to use as a supplemental to the big scratchers. I only gave it four stars as it should be mounted to the floor, or like I have the one side tucked underneath an armoire, otherwise those that scratch on it and get bonked on the head when it falls over. Our kitties have two larger condos units but these are nice to keep in the bedroom to keep them from scratching the carpet. Kitties will be kitties.
