The faux fleece fabric is made of polyester and the inside of the vertical supports is cardboard tubes (5mm thickness). The scratching rope is sisal and the bases are made out of particle board.

When I got to the last step to attach the base to house the instructions have you place the screw from the bottom up thru the house. If you do this, the house will

When I got to the last step to attach the base to house the instructions have you place the screw from the bottom up thru the house. If you do this, the house will not be secure to the base. I ended up attaching the screw the other way (from the house to the base) because the base has a threaded section everything can attach to.

I have ordered this before and really liked it. This one required much more assembly, the base isn’t connected to the top unless you put it together differently

Had to go buy a bolt that fit.

If you have wood or laminate flooring you'll need to cover the metal bracket on the bottom or it will scratch the floor. Putting it on a thick throw rug worked.

Hard to put together

The cube part was collapsible. The old wasn't. Hard to get post to stand up inside cube. Ended up using old cube with new scratching post and square seats.

Super sturdy and easy to climb

My cat is almost 16 and has some stiffness. This helps her get to her favorite spot without trouble. The only downside is the warning for California chemicals .

Two parts don't join

Per the instructions, the cat house (2) and bottom part (1) are supposed to fit together using the 32mm bolt (A), however the two parts don't latch or fit together

Per the instructions, the cat house (2) and bottom part (1) are supposed to fit together using the 32mm bolt (A), however the two parts don't latch or fit together properly, so it's really a two part tree. The bottom part (1) needs to fit the bolt better, or there needs to be a longer bolt.
