Sturdy tree for larger cats
I wanted to get my senior girl a tree with cubbies for hiding that is not too high up. She likes to climb, but has not had a tree before so we wanted something on the smaller side before investing in a large one to see of she would like it. Her foster mom said she had no interest in trees so I never got her one. But she has started hiding under the bed more often, and I wanted her to have other spaces to hang in. Got this on sale and with coupons was less than $40 including shipping. It is made of very sturdy material, and the covering is very soft and fluffy. My senior was able to hop right into the second cubby right after we put it together. After I put some lightly worn shorts and sweaters in the cubbies she has started hanging out in there every day. She is not big on beds, toys, or anything else I buy for her, so this was a pleasant surprise. The only downside is that the top perch is tricky to get to with how the tree is designed. My young cat can jump right up, but I may need to put something next to the tree to help my senior to climb up to the top. They are both larger cats (~12lbs) and the tree does not move or shake on its own at all. It is free-standing and not attached to the wall. I am not worried about their safety with using this. Also, the instructions could have been a bit more detailed with more steps. We had to redo things a few times to get everything the right way. Overall this tree is nice quality for the price and picky kitty approved! Would recommend.
Cat loves it! Big enough for Him!
Kitty loves it!! He is usually very picky about where he sits (won't even touch cat beds) but spends so much time on this tree in both the condos and the bed on top. My roommates used to have a cat tree but the platforms and condos weren't big enough for him, but this is great. He has a long back and long legs and has plenty of space. This doesn't take up too much space in my room though, fits just fine and not crowded in my bedroom (I live in a student apartment).
Quality / Well Made
This is a small but quality kitty condo. It is made well and although it took a few days for the kitties to accept it lol. They seem to like it now. Definitely worth the money. Nice to see reasonably priced kitty condos. I bought this to replace one that the hubby made a number of years ago that was just kind of smelly lol. Love that I can remove the top perch cover and put in the laundry. Love the spacious cubbies that I can actually get in and clean easily.
Nice Condo with One Problem
This was recommended as a good condo for senior cats. So that’s why I purchased it. He does love to lie and n the top and look out the window, but getting is difficult. The design does not allow for a cat to step down. I turned one of the little houses inward to see if it would help, but it didn’t make any difference. So he insists on leaping off from the top tier, which I don’t like.
Fat boy and void adore this tower
I've been on a hunt for a while of a tower that my fat old boy could perch on comfortably. (We are trying the weight loss journey also.) This ticked enough of my boxes I decided to give it a go and im happy I did. Immediately my black cat Orpheus darts in to the bottom condo but the old guy didn't pay much attention to it for a few days. But Orpheus slept on that top cat bed for 3 days before I woke up one morning to Bucky there and they fight over it since. Enough that I might buy a second! Oprheus did rip the ball off within a day but I hear him scratch at it every so often so mission accomplished!
Happy
Perfect choice for my elderly girl. I struggled to find a cat tree that was big enough for her and wasn't only for kittens. This tree was a much cheaper alternative and the houses are much more spacious, she fits in it well and it's very stable. Plus it just looks better in general and she's happier with this tree. My only complaint is the top bed, it's big and nice, however getting on and off of it seems like it may be a struggle. I don't think she will use that part much but I'm still happy with this purchase. Adult cat friendly! Would definitely recommend!
Difficult to navigate
Sorry to give this only three stars. High quality materials, but the design is such that your cat needs to be a strong, young adult to use this item. In order to get to the top perch, a cat has to be able to jump straight up there, or claw and scrape their way up, as the placement of the parts don’t provide viable steps up and down. Wish the pics would show a view from the top down, so you could get an idea of how “climeable” a cat tree is. As I turned to get a side table to put next to it to help my kittens use it, one of them tried to get down from the top ledge, hit a corner on the way down and fell on his side-couldn’t even land on his feet. I really like the generous top perch with the removable cover and really want the little young ones and my three legged cat to get up there, so I will have to keep other furniture next to it to enable them to use it. (Hopefully)
Great for larger cats!
My cat isn’t “gigantic” or anything but she is an adult cat weighing 13lbs and her old cat tree was just slightly too small for her. She’d have a hard time landing her jumps onto the pedal stools since they were smaller than she is. This new one is very roomy and she can jump onto the pedal-stool/bed easily and sprawl out when she’s napping. She also fits into the condos very comfortably. This is an ideal purchase for someone with adult cats, or cats that are even larger than your average adult cat. The item itself is of good quality and relatively easy to put together. I highly recommend this item.
Awesome Cat tree my Bella loves it
Bella is a big kitty and she fits on top and in the boxes. She absolutely loves it! It was pretty easy to put together. However when I put the bed part on top the corner ripped. Wish they could have sent me a new bed part. That upset me. That's the only negative thing I can say about it.
Needs a ladder
I have an older cat that will not be able to reach the top shelf; there is no platform from which to jump up from. I purchased this in order for my cat to be able to see over a small wall and this is not possible with the design. I did, however, put the unit together easily and at least the little cubbies are accessible.
