My big boy is 13+ lbs with paws to match. He completely destroyed one of the post twines very quickly. It's not heavy duty thick twine. The upper platform size is good but he is too large for the top perch, and he never climbed up there. He rarely goes on the platforms at all, so I opted for sturdier scratch post with heavy duty twine. Also he never went inside the box or tunnel tube. He generally likes to spin around the bottom of any scratch post but there isn't enough room on this one due to the tunnel tube. I think this may be a good tree for smaller cats, and I'm giving mine away after less than a year.
My cat LOVES this tower. She is admittedly a smaller cat, about 10 lbs fully grown. By now she's fully wrecked some of the rope columns, but it's fairly easy and quite affordable to replace the rope yourself with some hot glue and a heavy duty stapler. It's held up extremely well for us over the years, and my new kitten loves it too.
This is the best!! Cat tree ever! Very sturdy I can move it around easily also. I purchased this in March of 2020 I still have it and it can hold my large cat at the very top and he is heavy!! He loves his cat tree. I have a water dish and a plant for him on it and there is still enough room for him HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I like Frisco products so this was a huge disappointment to discover that it broke after only 4 months. Who in their right mind designs a cat tree with high perches supported by nothing? It has 3 perches that are each resting on a cardboard pole. So any torque, even with cats that aren't heavy, are going to pull on it, eventually breaking the perch. That's what happened. Now I have 1 perch fewer and a big bolt sticking out. Since that bolt ties a different support pole to a platform, I can't remove it without taking the whole thing down. I'm disgusted. Money wasted. Looking for a sturdy alternative.
Bought this for my 2 adopted kittens. Both very active, especially one that I swear is hyperactive! They love the tree and play or sleep on it constantly. It helps keep them off the furniture, curtains, etc. I saw a negative review but the photo does not look like the product I purchased so maybe that problem has been solved. This tree is very sturdy in my opinion. I agree that the flat scratcher doesn’t attract them at this age, but that could change. So far my adult cats have not been on the tree but I think it would hold them. Highly recommend this product. It is a better product than one I purchased at a pet store & was easy to assemble.
I got this cat tree 2 weeks ago for my 2-year old cat and new kitten. It looks great and seems to be well-constructed. It took a little work, but was not difficult to assemble. My cats both love it and hang out and play on it frequently.
Easy to assemble and pretty nice size for the price. My 11 year old and 9 year old assembled much of it without adult assistance. Nicely shaped to fit into a corner in our house. So far our cats don't care much about the condo or tunnel, but enjoy the large, open shelf and the highest small shelf....surveying their realm.
My two indoor girls (rainy & fancy) are in love! I couldn't even finish putting it together before they were having a gay ole time. I chose this unit for all of the scratching posts, being inside girls they really use the posts a lot. We have three Chewy cat trees each at windows in the house, the girls have a grey tabby that comes to visit in the evening and they lay on their trees and talk. Chewy, you are the very best in product and most of all for customer service, I have been with Chewy for years and will remain your devoted customer for ever. Thanks so much Charlotte
I have purchased this cat tree 3 times over the past 6 years (due to moving and the posts being used thoroughly). It is extremely good quality, stable, and easy to assemble. My cat is on the bigger side and this tree does not wobble or move at all. The platforms are big enough for a large cat to rest comfortably and it's easy to climb. I've tried other trees and I just come back to this one for the quality and the price. Highly recommend! I just recently repurchased since my move and my cat still loves this tree more than any other.
We just got a cat and she is in love with the tree! The box was heavy to carry up our apartment stairs but the assembly was easy and she started using it within a day or two.
