Yeah, so... This is a "large" litter box but it's not made for large cats. Now my cat isn't huge and he's not fat but he's too big for this box apparently. He urinates over the side and occasionally poops on the floor. Sure I don't have to scoop much but I have to wash the sifter and floor quite often. I'm going to hunt for a larger sifter or go back to the scoop. It works for my small cat but for average to large cats, I don't recommend.
Great timesaver for smaller kitties

Using the 3-tiers was easy and made the cleanup immensely easier. However, it was not big enough for my kitty. She ended up peeing over the edge of the pan. It is an awesome idea, though. I went back to a bigger litter box and now use cat grass litter that scoops up with NO sticking at all and is better for her paws.
Great for quick cleaning.

I like this litter box set. I used it RVing and in an apartment. In less than 30 seconds, the box is clean and ready to use. I use a small piece of paper towel to clean any clumps attached to the bottom, and sift all the litter into the next box, and put the sifter and previous box underneath. No more manual digging, etc. I empty all the dregs into a small lidded trash can next to the box. My cat is bad about not burying poop, so it's easy to tell when to sift. This set makes it easy to clean the box more than once a day, so it stays less stinky.
Great for pine litter
on May 24, 2021
I have used pine litter for years. Both my cat and I like everything about it, but I wanted to try a sifting litter box. This sifting litter box works just as described. My only negative is the size of the box (as many other reviews have pointed out). My cat is 12 lbs and does okay with the size of the box, but a larger litter box would be so much better. I may attempt to make my own sifting litter box (as described by a few reviews), but for now, this box is meeting “our” needs.
nice buy for the price!

Bought this litter box with the intention to use it with the Feline Pine pellets. It works, but not as expected. We still love this litter box, don’t get me wrong. But I’d probably get proper use out of it with a non pellet litter... or smaller pellets. What happens when we use the pellet litter, when it’s time to sift it sifts the “used wet litter” instead of the clean litter. So basically we sift over our trashcan, then scoop the “solids”, what we are left with is the clean litter. So we dump it into the non sifting pan. Still works, gets the job done, just a little backwards if you use pellet litter. Clumping litter this would work great!

Litter sticks even worse to the litter pan than non sifting! I bought these thinking I would just sift and dump but any urine makes clumps you have to scrap off of tray and really in general it makes a huge mess. Way more work than a regular pan. I think they designed this to get you to buy special non stick litter but that doesn't work any better.
Great..for small cats

I actually put this in the kitchen where I feed my smaller cat, so she can use it. If my boy gets in and uses the box, his pee will go on the wall and run down under the box... I had to put a silicone mat under it and another mat between it and the wall. For now I just keep him out of the kitchen so he doesn’t use it. She uses it just fine though. So only get this if your cat is short or small. It sifts the wood pellets better than my other sifting pan so I like that.
I wish they would make a larger and high sided version for people with long cats.
The Perfect litter box

Purchased this litter box to use for a kitty we are fostering for our local cat shelter.
This litter box is my favorite one, the best I've ever purchased (and I've purchased some expensive ones). Simple yet functional, great quality and a great price.
Cats love it!!!!!

I was using the litter box with the pellets and the pads. My cats never took took to those white pellets. I have one cat, who would not pee in the box, so we had an on going issue with her, and me putting down pads outside the box, for her. Finally reached the end of my rope and decided to switch back to regular cat litter.
Setup is easy. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! A minute later, one cat in one box the other cat in the box! No complaints, no cat’s looking over their shoulders at me! Peace in the valley once more. Cleaning is easy as they say BUT litter does stick. I see Arm and Hammer does make a non stick cat litter, so when I finish using up the other boxes I have, i’ll probably purchaseI was using the litter box with the pellets and the pads. HINT: I purchased a 13 gallon plastic garbage can from the store with the blue sign and put a plastic can liner in it, and it so much easier for dumping the dirty litter. End of the week, pull out the liner, and start over. No fuss no mess.… more
Works with pine pellets/wood stove pellets!

I bought this to use for my rabbit and it works really well, the sawdust doesnt clog the holes and the pellets dont fit through the holes!
However if you're going to use this for a rabbit, there isnt a whole lot of room to place hay in it.
Another thing is the light grey sifting box has a lip that doesnt curl down, and my bunny nibbled the edge of it, so if your bunny enjoys eating plastic like a fool, (like mine) maybe dont use this sifting box (she only did it once thankfully)
But hey, if you dont end up liking the sifting aspect of the box you can just use the underneath dark grey ones and you'll have two normal litter boxes!
