Okay, a lot of people complained about this having an uncomfortable handle. NOT an issue. I have skinny, bony hands and I'm scooping 10 litter boxes twice a day. Can't imagine having a problem with the handle. Some people complained that the wire-like basket "cheese grated" the litter clumps. I use Arm & Hammer's Clump and Seal...not an issue. People complained that it's too big. Guess that's a matter of perspective. My litter boxes are huge, so a big scoop is definitely welcome. There is just nothing bad about this thing. I love it.
having issues with plastic litter scoop clogging using both okocat wood litters: clumping and non-clumping, and also non-clumping FelinePine litter, gave this a try and while it doesn't clear the unused Pine litter it also does not build up residue of still damp but clumping okocat litter. ...it easily knocks off. i think it would be ideal for clumping clay litter.
This scoop is wide and lets the non-clumped litter through easily, so I can get through deep litter much more quickly. I can easily clean the whole box in 4 scoops with this while the little plastic ones would take at least 10 scoops! The only problem I had is that one of the little tines got detached at the front of the scoop, so it's now letting some larger pieces through on that side. But I love it so much more than my plastic scoop that I'll probably grab another one with my next order anyways.
This scoop works so well with soft wood, aka fluffy litters, the wide spaces make it a breeze to shake out the non -clumped litter while holding the clumps and solids behind.
The handle is too big for my average to large size lady hands. And the center part of the handle becomes detached at the top after a few uses. I bought two of these at the same time and they both have the same issue. Love that it's not plastic, hate that it's uncomfortable to use.
Very good, heavy duty quality! I highly recommend the scoop. It is very large and won’t bend or break.
I really like the design of this scoop. I had plastic scoops and I felt like I was gonna break it it was so flimsy. This one it really strong and doesn't bend at all but I just wish it was a little bit smaller. I find it a bit clumsy to maneuver around the litter box. Definitely still the best scoop I've found so far.
I bought this after seeing it recommended for okocat litter, and it's been great for both that and traditional clay litter. The gaps are just big enough to allow larger litters to go through, but clumps to be caught. The larger size and fact it's metal is also a plus!
I broke 4 plastic scoops this year alone and finally went in search of something sturdier. This works amazing and the litter doesnt stick to it as much as the plastic either.
This is amazing! You’ll never break another scoop with this one!! Love it
