I moved and wanted a tree big enough for my cat to get into the closet cabinets that I set up as little bedroom for her and this tree was PERFECT. I originally purchased a floor to ceiling go pet club tree and it was so small, wobbly, and difficult to assemble that I had to return it. This Frisco tree though is super sturdy and I had no issues putting it together. Today I moved my cat in and she had a little trouble figuring it out (she is really high on gabapentin, has a fixed front left wrist joint, and is 12 years old so she has mobility problems). She did fall off a few times (it's 100% because of the gabapentin) and I had to take the bed cover off the top, but she loves it and has been indecisively moving around the tree nonstop trying to figure out her favorite spot all day. Highly recommend for anyone with older cats or cats with limited mobility because this tree can be set so that no spot is too difficult for your cat to reach.
This tower is of good quality and is definitely tall, however the whole design is poor and rather dangerous for energetic cats. The perches are shallow and not appropriate for larger cats, each perch has supports running through them that make it difficult to sit. The top perch is also too high above the last shallow perch for my cats to make it to, even standing on their hind legs. My cats attempted to run up it and instead got stuck and slammed into the edges of the perch since its all to shallow for good footing. Therefore, if you have young kittens this tower is great. For older, larger, or energetic cats, this tower is more of a hazard. Assembly was also extremely difficult as well, the bolts that had been provided did not thread properly and I had to get bigger bolts myself just to get it together. The last few cat towers I have gotten from Chewy have been disappointing.
I purchased this for my cats. I have 5 of the not so little boogers! That totally adore this tower. This is supposed to be for large cats. But it’s not. I have the other Frisco tower for larger cats that’s perfect. This one seems like it should have been wider. The platforms are really small. Makes it kind of hard for them to get up and down. My cats are around 20 pounds and I have 1 Maine Coon. I think smaller cats might have a problem too getting to the very top. This tower has to be secured to the wall. It’s very unstable.
I’ve had this cat tree since 2021, from kittens to adulthood, my three cats have scratched, climbed, slept, jumped, fought, and shoved each other from the tallest perch with plenty of space and fun. With cats that are 7, 12, and 14lbs with different body types, they are all able to use the tree at the same time with plenty of space. This is a big and HEAVY tree that is worth the money. I highly suggest purchasing because my three cats have used this daily and it is holding up great with little sign of wear and tear.
Goes together easily. I like that you can adjust the shelves to go whatever direction that’s easiest for the kitty to climb. My little one loves to sleep in the hammock and has made it to the top shelf. My bigger cat is a little more intimidated by the height. She only ventures a couple floors up. Fits perfectly in the corner by the window. It’s a good quality tower and a very fair price!
All of my cats are part siamese so I wanted something tall they could climb. One of them is great at getting up high on her own, but the other two are less agile. This gives them the perfect window seat. It was relatively easy to put together. Screw D was a bit hard to thread, but there were only three of those. It's a large tree so it took a while to assemble, but the instructions were fairly clear. It would have been nice to have a video, but not really necessary.
Honestly, Basil loves it! It was hard finding a cat tree big enough for him. All of the cat trees that people say are for big cats were too small for him. By big they mean fat or just average adult cats. Basil is long and tall (when he stands up he's almost taller than a toddler), so a lot of other cat tree landings, beds and caves wouldn't fit him. Now he has a happy place that he uses multiple times a day! He can fit in everything on the tree. It's a WIN!!
This is my second cat tree. The first one although it was our advertised as something for adult cats was far too small. This one is a perfect height. She couldn't wait to start playing in it even as I was building it. She's about 12 lb and she fits comfortably into all the beds and hammocks. Every hour I find her on a different level. And of course she likes to sleep on the top so she can look outside at the squirrels. It's big enough to be shared. Definitely recommend.
I’ve always bought and recommended Chewy’s trees to anyone who I know. Even my customers. However after this one, I won’t be. Almost $200 and within the first week the carpeted posts were coming apart. For a tree under $100 that’s to be expected but this is absolutely unacceptable and I’ll be taking my hard-earned money where it’ll hold up to 2 cats basic use. This should be 6+ months of wear.
Worth it in the end but IMPOSSIBLE to put together (hence the minus one star). So first I guess I’ll list off the cons. This thing took us 7 HOURS to put together, and anyone who says it’s easy to build, I’m sorry they’re lying. The instructions are plain and simple enough, but the problem really is the screws. There were SO many times I thought we’d have to return it due to the screws either being too long or not long enough. Truly, if it weren’t for God we would’ve had no choice. Another con is it’s a little difficult for our cats to reach the top perch. Not too hard, but they have to re-adjust themselves a little bit. Final con is while in the process of trying to put together I noticed some fuzz start coming off. Not enough to be too concerned about, but still thought I’d mention it. And while it was DEFINITELY an emotional process.. I’d say it was worth it in the end. The cats seem to love and have been o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with this cat tree, and that’s enough for me. While a little pricey I think it’s worth it due to its height & stability. Any higher and it’d be too high, and while high it’s incredibly stable! We have four cats and they can all be on it with no problem. I do recommend this cat tree, but just take this into account.
