Will it work if the dog wears a collar and not a harness?

I would not recommend using a collar vs a harness, this item acts as a seatbelt should you need to slow down rapidly or have impact. If connected to a collar on an animals neck… yikes. Bad idea. You may not use a harness to walk your dog (i don’t either) but we have one we use in the car in combo with a tether for a dog seatbelt essentially.

Gives me peace of mind and it's quality

I was nervous she would freak out with this on, but I was more nervous if something happened she'd go right through the windshield. This has a nice bungey in it,

This has a nice bungey in it, so she can still move around, and it clips in to the seatbelt latch really easily. Quality hardware too. Very happy with this. If you can get it with the seat cover, I very much recommend both.

I feel dumb

We are not 10% smarter than than this device. There were no instructions and it took so long to try and figure it out that the (massive) trestles puppy yanked me

great seatbelt

I have these in both vehicles and love that my dog can reach the center console (his normal travel position) while being securely locked into the back seat.

The bungee part helps not get tangled

He is fine with it, and can't step on the seat belt receiver to loosen it since I use the bar attachment. However, he can chew through it. Next time I will order

Great seatbelt, get one for each car

We love this seatbelt for our pup (she's a 6-month-old, 45lb lab). For us, we use it on the anchor point so she's less likely to try to chew on the belt itself

We love this seatbelt for our pup (she's a 6-month-old, 45lb lab). For us, we use it on the anchor point so she's less likely to try to chew on the belt itself. However, the flexible metal tab that locks it in broke because we've moved it between our two cars maybe 10 times. The seat belt buckle still works, but we're just going to order one for each car and leave them in there. The broken one will be a spare for babysitters.

The seat cover was super easy to install and is very sturdy. Cooper is standard size and this helps to secure him in the back seat comfortably and safely.
