Makes grooming easier!
I ordered this bec I’m an Uber extra new dog mom to an newfie. It arrived and my husband said that out dog is too old for a slow feed. When we were grooming him that week I decided to use the slow feeder bowl as a distraction and only feed him couple of pieces of food while my husband brushes. It’s our most effective tool for grooming now!
Good, definitely slowed her down
This was bought for our Great Dane. Wasn't sure the 3 cup size would be big enough but it's worked well. We pour in some dry and put the wet food on top packing it in a tiny bit. Takes her probably triple the time it used to take her to finish eating, which is great as we want to prevent bloat. Tbh I don't think she loves it ...she sometimes leaves the very bottom food in there almost like it's too much effort Dogs are funny. It's also easy to clean which is nice.
New slow eater bowl
Dinner went from about 15 seconds for 3 cups to about 120 seconds. He was just as happy as usual and no (coughing)? He never choked or anything before but he would cough up some kibble and re eat. This bowl worked well and the rubber anti skid around the bottom kept it on his platform. Overall very happy with the product.
Worked as expected
I bought this bowl based on user reviews, and I'm glad I did. I am happy to announce the arrival of our new family member, a labradoodle. During feeding time, he would gulp down his meals quickly and end up with indigestion. This bowl solved the problem. Now it takes him 5-6 minutes to finish his meals as opposed to 2 minutes before. I would highly recommend this product.
My vet recommended we try a puzzle bowl for the Yorkie we rescued as he was eating to fast and regurgitating his unchewed food. This bowl worked well for him and our other yorkies. Plenty big for several of them to gather around and eat their dry crunchies.
Very nice bowl
Had one of these slow feed bowls with our last golden and it worked well so I decided to purchase another one for our current golden and it’s working well for him also. It makes him slow down and actually chew his food instead of inhaling. This one is the perfect diameter to fit in my pups raised platform and it’s very durable and looks great. The only problem I have is that it does not hold 3 cups like the description says but that’s ok with me cause my pup only eats 1.5 cups at a feeding.
I have six dogs ranging in size between 15 lb and 110 lb I fill the feeder once a day and It has stopped the gobbling of all the food at one time and digestive issues that it is caused on the bigger dogs it's the perfect size I'm pretty impressed with the product
Puppies love the bowls!!!
These bowls really slowed down the why our 5 month old puppies eat. Before they would almost inhale the puppy food. It took them a while to get used to them, but I think they like them now! Just wish they would fit in the stand we have... I tried to attach a picture, but wouldn't work....sorry!
Great slow feeder!
I have purchased two of these bowls now, one for my dad's collie and one for my pittie. It works great for the collie as he has a narrower tongue, it's more difficult for my pittie, but this is his back-up bowl and has another that's designed for dogs with short snouts. The only potential drawback is that it can be difficult to clean with all the different pieces for food to accumulate around. This is only an issue with the collie, so I let my pittie clean it up before washing to make things easier. Win win situation that way!
I recently adopted a lab mix puppy. With him being part lab and a puppy, he eats his food as if he's never going to eat again. If I give his food to him in a regular bowl, it is gone in literally two or three bites. This bowl does the trick, and it's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be! But it's perfect for him right now and I know it will be perfect for him as he gets bigger. I got the blue one for him. His meal time went from over in three seconds to over in three minutes. I cannot recommend this product enough, and for the price you get a very durable and well-made bowl. Plus, it's non-skid on the bottom and cannot easily be flipped over... which is awesome because I have a small box that I put his bowl on top of to elevate it so he does not gulp a bunch of air when he eats.
