I was trying to find a bed that would be just right to help my dachshund stop laying on the big dog bed so that the lab stopped getting kicked off of it. This bed has proven to be just that. She is able to curl up or spread out if she wants and won't move from it for hours if she chooses. I have put it through the wash once so far with success also. I washed on cold, and I was leery of putting it in the dryer and having something happen to the fur material, but I put it on air dry (which took longer but I didn't mind) and it came out just like it went in. My only complaint would be is that it's slightly lopsided the way it's stuffed, but the dog does't seem to mind. May have to buy another one so she has one for upstairs and one for downstairs (or possibly her crate, but it is a tight fit when I put it in there). I had a slight issue with the one I chose being marked as in stock but actually being out of stock and had to go back and forth about it, however, Chewy's customer service was amazing and helped me get the same bed just in a different color and everything worked out.
He was really excited when I took it out of the box and hasn't moved since I placed it on the couch. The bed hugs him very nicely and the raised edges gives him a great pillow to place his long neck in. The bed was larger than expected but has the perfect amount of space for him to stretch his legs in if he pleases. I wouldn't recommend these bed for heavy pets as the material doesn't have much firmness to it but it does go back to its regular shape.
Had another brand from old dog used for my puppy lucky I kept the old one not even close to enough stuffing for my 14 lb dog he is like laying on the floor will donate it. Even looks cheep I will use the old one from another company. Besides my order took a week to get here so I had to run to a store to buy extra dog food until mine came with this poor quality bed that wasn’t cheep! Leaving Chewy will explore other places to order online Chewy isn’t like they used to be after getting this bed not sure I will trust them again
I bought this bed several years ago and my Doberman loves it. After several years it was time to buy a new bed. I tried other beds but she refused to sleep in them. It had to be the exact Frisco eyelash bed. So grateful Chewy still cared them. When I received it I unpacked it. Fluffed it up and she went right in it . She has been sleeping in it every day. Thank you Chewy.
We have a similar bed from another brand, and had issues with matching dimensions. This Frisco bed actually has the high, comfy bolsters described (significantly higher than the other brand). However, the middle part of the bed seems under-stuffed and is incredibly patchy, with some parts padded and some with none at all. We tried to smooth the padding around as much as possible, but it's basically just balls of batting and part of our pup is still in full contact with the ground. I'm not sure yet if washing will help or make it worse. We can put something else underneath (thick rug or flat memory foam pad) to make sure it's comfortable. Overall our girl likes it, but I really wish the inside was stuffed the way the bolster is.
I am disappointed in this bed, for the cost the quality is subpar. I was dazzled by the high rating, but I should have dug deeper into the one star ratings and would have immediately found the issue I've noted. The center has almost no support or stuffing. My pup, who is about 20lb, just sinks like a rock to the bottom and is laying pretty much on the floor, just with an extremely thin layer of bedding between him and it. I was excited to give him the new bed until I realized it gave him no support. Wouldn't recommend.
Bought 2 of these in gray for my cats. Seats 2! The sides are pretty high, which adds a cuddly effect. I put one on a bench beside my bed. My cats tend to leap out at the same time, launching themselves, but they knock the pet bed onto the floor. Then I return home to see them looking down at the bed sitting on the floor. Sometimes there will be a cat laying in/on the bed on the floor, even if it's flipped upside down, so they obviously like it. One cat is a large fluffy male, the other is a long slender short-haired female, and though both fit in the bed at once, the high comfy sides may be the reason they keep moving the bed when they jump out. The bed is really soft and cushiony and like a nice fluffy donut pillow. The cats also like to sleep in the bed separately.
My 7 month kitten absolutely loves this bed. So much so that she no longer sleeps in the bed with us. Upon arrival it did have a funny chemical smell but it went away after giving it a good wash! I didn’t see any shedding so that is a plus! I got the Silver in large btw!
The stuffing in the bed is very uneven causing the bed to be tilted (I keep it on the couch), Twice my dog fell out of the bed and landed on the floor.
I had bought a similar fluffy bolster-style bed for my husky-lab mix a few years ago and I noticed that it was a little (a lot) worn down lately. I was buying a new crate pad for him anyway, so I went ahead and bought this bolster bed. My old boy is blind and despite us showing him the new bed, it took him a couple days to decide to try it out. He's curled up in it almost nightly now that he knows it's for him. The bed is really soft and is well made. The bolsters are really cuddling and he looks super cozy in the bed.
