    Great bowl for fast eater

By Rachel on Feb 13, 2021

My 3-yo male cat is a super fast eater and inhales his food to the point that he sometimes vomits. This leaves him begging for more food because he wasn’t feeling full. I wanted to try an easy and inexpensive solution and found this very affordable bowl. It’s the perfect size for one serving of dry kibble. I was skeptical that he would stick with it because it does require a little bit of problem solving and work to eat. He’s figured out how to pop a few pieces of dry kibble out with his paw then eats them off the floor (I put a placemat under the bowl). The only complaint I have is that the bowl scoots all over the floor while he’s trying to eat and use his paw to pop out the pieces, so I My 3-yo male cat is a super fast eater and inhales his food to the point that he sometimes vomits. These bowls are amazing.

By CatMom on Feb 20, 2021

My rescue cats would gulp their food very quickly, probably thinking they needed to eat fast which I’m trying to assure them they’ve been rescued and have plenty to eat. These bowls are amazing it has the cat slowing down to eat, which then keeps them from eating then just puking it right back up. I’ve not had cats throwing up since I’ve gotten each 1 a new slow eating dish. Highly recommend they’ve saved me cleaning up so many messes.

Perfect slow feeders for the cats!

By Savannah on Feb 11, 2021

I got this because my 8 year old cat inhales her food! Which then resulted in puking it up multiple times because her stomach can’t handle that pressure anymore. Well, my 2 year old cat started inhaling her food too and then it was between both cats of cleaning up throw up. After much research I went with these bowls and I love them! My oldest was kinda mad at first because it took her time to realize she has to work for her food a bit, but the youngest cat took to it right away. 3 weeks later and no episodes of cat throw up!

    It worked with my cats

By Robin on Feb 11, 2021

I have 3 cats that inhaled their food and then moved on to the bowls of my other 3 cats who are slow eaters. They weren’t sure about them at first but they have adapted well and it has slowed them down. They do have problems getting in between the edges of the bowl and the fish so they use their paws the get the food out. Overall, the bowl works and I’m happy with the purchase.

    As Advertised

    By NPC15 on Jan 10, 2021

One of my cats vacuums up his food while the other is a slow super picky & distracted eater, which results in the fast cat advancing on the slow cat's food and causing the slow cat to leave his food bowl earlier than he otherwise would have. This bowl slows down the "food vacuumer" sufficiently to allow the "slow eater" enough time to eat most of his food. On average, the "food vacuumer" takes ~five times longer to eat his food now. Bowl is easy to clean and is an appropriate size for doling out up to half a 5.5 oz. can of wet food or 0.25 c of dry food.

    Great dish

By Flame on Feb 12, 2021

At first my cat was confused, but he eventually figured out how to eat out of this bowl, and it has definitely slowed him down. A lot of times he will just give up and go to our other cats bowl, but if I can keep him focused this one does the trick. It does have a non-skid bottom and works well overall.

    Not for impatiently fast eaters

By Catmom on Jan 12, 2021

The bowl is too deep for my cats. It looks more deep in person than it does in photos. My cats gave me a good laugh trying to use this bowl. They can only pick up the food thats in the center of the bowl. They cant reach the food thats on the outer part of the bowl. They eat so fast and are so impatient they picked up the food by the fish and fell all over the floor. Yes both of them! The bowl itself is so cute though. I wish it worked for me like it did for others. I will have to try something else to help them slow down

This dish slows down a fast eater

By Catlady on Jan 2, 2021

Daisy is a fast (and fat) eater and can't wait to finish her food so she can get what the other two leave. She is very fat and needs to eat her food slower to get full faster. The others are grazers so they don't finish all at once. This dish slows her down and allows the others to eat what they want, and then I can put their leftovers up high so she can't reach (did I mention that she's fat...and can't jump up well...). This dish works perfectly, and is pretty, too!

Perfect slow feed bowl for cats

By ADavis on Dec 20, 2020

These are the perfect size slow-feed bowls for cats. Most of the ones I have tried are too deep, way too large, or the parts of the bowl that stick up don’t allow for a cat’s face to get down in between. These are perfect for that and still ensure that your cat has to work to get the food. What I hate about them is there’s no grip on the bottom. This just slides across the floor as my cat tries to push his face into it to get to the food. I have a placemat down that I set this on and the bowl still slides across the placemat. If these were non-skid they would be 5 stars instead of 4.

    Does its job

By Gallagator on Jan 12, 2021

This bowl absolutely slows my chonky cat down as he eats. However, it seems to be just a little bit too deep for him. He often has to eat by fishing out the food with his paws (pun only slightly-intended). He gets frustrated and ends up not eating enough! I would recommend it, but not for all the time. My cat is pretty huge (13lb) and he's having trouble with it.
