Does this crate work as an attachment / extension with the Frisco Dog Exercise Pen with Step-Through Door 30inches?

The Frisco crate can be attached to the Frisco Exercise Pen using the included snap hooks.
Can the dividers fit over a crate mat so we don't have to buy different sized mats as the puppy grows?
Answer by • Nov 05, 2018
There will be a space of approximately 3.5 inches under the divider. A crate mat may be able to fit under, depending on it's thickness. The Frisco Quilted Fleece Pet Bed & Crate Mat would be able to fit appropriately.
It took me awhile to get it assembled as one of the panels was a tad bent into another. Maybe it got dropped in shipment? But that is now fixed. Otherwise it will be big enough to suffice. One thing I didn't think about. I will be traveling with my dog in an older Honda CRV. I was putting it in the back in the collapsed state and discovered it won't sit flat. My CRV was just not wide enough so Pup will be on a very slight angle when on the road. So before you order, measure the width of your car/SUV where the crate might go to make sure it fits. I'm giving it 5 stars for the ease in setting it up (after I fixed the little bend) and it seems very sturdy. The door latches look like they will hold up well.

The small size is great for 4 pounds puppy
I first purchased a kennel for my puppy, but because of the size and shape, my tiny size puppy doesn't seems buy it. Then I ordered this crate, with the bigger size and the shape of the crate. The puppy is doing much better in it. It's a great size, though I tried to filled the blanket in it to occupy some space so make less room for the puppy to 'play', reduce the risk of accident.
Rating it as 4 stars, as the door handle is not easy to use, maybe it's the part is defected, as most of the time, it got stuck and took more time/strength to unlock it.

42" for Lab/ border collie mix
I bought this size crate hoping it would be big enough, my fur baby isn't that big even though he's part lab. I measured him as best as I could with him squirming and he measured 21 in high or there about and 42 in long or thereabout. The 42-in crate is plenty roomy for him I could have gotten away with the 36 inch if I really wanted to but I'm glad he has the extra room.
The wire for the crate is kind of flimsy so if you've got a strong putt I would suggest buying one that has thicker wiring my fur baby almost got out of his crate the other day just by banging his paw repeatedly against the door. I also like that it has two doors, at least the one I selected does that way no matter which side he's on he can be put inside of it.

bad construction
This crate would have top rating but the one I received was misaligned and extremely difficult to put together. The clips on one side were too high and wouldn’t go through but bumped into cross piece so took a lot of muscle and hammering to get the crate together. It just wasn’t made right. Would have returned but needed it right away. Still would recommend to a friend assuming they got one made correctly.

Great Choice Small Dog
I have a Mini Schnauzer puppy who is four pounds. I struggled with what size crate to get. This one is perfect. He is small enough that I could have used to divider that came with it but I never did. We put his round bed inside at night for sleeping. If we crate him for any reason during the day like while vacuuming or to run a quick errand, we do not put his round bed inside and he has room to play, but not so much room that he can walk around more than a couple of steps. I also got a pad to go inside that fits perfectly and is soft.

Great crate, very roomy
I bought this crate for my 40lb beagle/GSD mix. If curled up he fits in half of it. It's very roomy. Infuriating to unfold and pop into place and it includes a center "gate" if you want to partition the crate. It hooks onto everything and makes it nearly impossible to unfold. I had to bend a few pieces to unfold. Must buy a large cushion for the bottom for comfort. My dog loves the crate. For expert escape artists, not sure how this would hold up. Love that the crate has two exits.

Good quality
This crate is a great quality crate. Very solid and works great to hold my lil chihuahua. The only negative thing I have against it is that the description says it is 19 in. H and it is actually OVER 19 in. and does not fit the space where I originally bought it for. I wish the description for the size was accurate, but other than that annoyance, it is a well made crate and worth the money.

Not the one for us
Oof recently brought home a shelter dog and we're working through some separation issues.
Long story short after having this crate one week my dog is now able to bust out in about 4 minutes.
For reference we have a maybe 1.5 y/o - 70ish pound Catahoula mix ( we think, he was picked up as a stray). So if you have a anxious bigger/ stronger pup, maybe not the one for you either.

Nice Size for Female Shepherd
I adopted a new male who needed my female's older 54" crate. Both are German Shepherds.(He's had heartworm treatment, so must "live" in the crate another month, without activity. Also, he's significantly taller & longer than my female, so, like I said, he needed the big crate.)
But the big airline crate I moved in for her (48" height) didn't have much stretching out room. (At the floor of the very large airline crate, she only had 20" to stretch her legs out, lying down. The crate flares out way wider in the middle, but that doesn't help for sleeping.) So I bought this 48" from Frisco and it's great. She now has 30" inches to stretch out those German Shepherd legs. Also has lots of height and length to spare. (I'd recommend a bit larger crate for a good sized male GSD.)
Very challenging to remove from box (tape, cardboard & big staples). Weighs almost 50 lbs, so hefty but not impossible for my sister and I to carry. (We're in our late 60's.) No assembly instructions. Well, there's no "assembly" needed. But it needs unfolded, and we were mystified for a while, but we had it expanded within 20 minutes or so. Everything worked right. Nothing damaged or missing, which is always a blessing. I think we'll be able to reverse the process if we need to carry it elsewhere.
Nice crate!

You Get What You Pay For
You know those people who save money by not vaccinating their dogs? Well I thought I was saving money buying this crate hahahahaha. It's terrible. Awful really. Doors don't work right or well, stick open, don't close properly. My dog won't get out but someone with some determination could rattle the door right open. And then it sticks open, you cannot shut it quickly. It really is a piece of junk. Save your pennies in the longrun (it will have to be replaced soon)
Buy the good stuff. Pay for it now, spare yourself the frustration. Trust me on this one. (This is not Chewy's fault, it is my own.)
