This is a nice dog kennel. The poles and plastic kennel tray are of decent quality. If you're wanting a kennel for everyday use that is easily moved, this is it. If you're looking for a kennel designed for a kennel aggressive dog or an escape artist, this is not for you. Lol Our dogs can get out of these kennels by both doors, however are trained for such and only come out when told. I would recommend them for dogs that merely need to be kenneled for normal purposes. I would also recommend them for indoor use only. We take them outside to pressure wash, but the poles will rust if left in an outdoor environment.
We've purchased over a dozen dog crates over the years and when purchasing new crates, there are a few simple features that we look for: 1) double doors - you never know what direction the crates will be sitting, and doors on the front and side are a must. 2) double latching on the doors - sometimes you miss closing a latch, but when there is two of them, you always get at least one fastened 3) heavy duty materials and quality construction - these crates are made of heavy gauge metal and will last forever indoors. These crates have an added bonus - a divider panel! When taking 2 or 3 yorkies to the vet, a divider panel comes in soooo handy - only need to take two crates instead of 3. These are probably the highest quality crates we've ever received - would definitely recommend...
My dog was needing ACL surgery so ordered the large kennel in advance. When she came home, I ran out to the pet store to pick up a second kennel for the bedroom. This was was a little bigger and a lot more expensive. This Frisco kennel is a lot better quality. It's sturdier with thicker wires, and I like the latches better. I definitely would recommend this kennel! (This is the Large 42" kennel for a 55 lb. Australian shepherd.)
This case is very nice, cute and durable for my dog. The large size is very spacious, even i can fit in it. My pup is a senior doggy so he doesn't do much, but he loves the extra space. I love the removable easy to clean tray at the bottom. He has had a few accidents, that took no time wipe up, and the bottom still looks good as new
24". It was impossible for me to put this wire crate up myself. It's very tight trying to pull the ends into place. My husband used brute force to pull them into place to get them secured. I doubt I will be able to put it back down myself, making it useless for being fold down portable. The latches are a pain to use as well. They are tight and difficult to both open and latch shut. I need it for my puppy and the price was better than others. It's small enough I can move it without taking it down, and it fits in the back of my car as is or I definitely would have returned it. Very frustrating. I've had two other larger crates of this type and didn't have these issues. Now, in reading other reviews these are common problems with this crate. Recommended due to price point and it is sturdy if you can get it put together.
I needed a crate for my new puppy in the car. This one is smaller than her home crate, but it fits the back seat, leaving the hatch available for my stuff Very well made, sturdy, be careful putting it together. It’s tight, but does not rattle in the car! I’ll never collapse it again. Price was cheaper than the larger one I bought 30 years ago. And workmanship is similar
It’s a good kennel. This one unfortunately came with a crack in the bottom plastic piece. If I didn’t need The kennel immediately I would send it back but I’ll just have to put bedding over it.
The crates are well made. I ordered 2. Neither came with the pictured handles, which was why I ordered this style. I needed to use them ASAP so I didn’t bother trying to return or exchange. Would really like them better if they had the handles.
It’s really nice and sturdy, my one year old mini poodle absolutely loves it. Only thing I don’t like, some of the metal pieces in the crate door and at the bottom have sharp edges that poke and hurt my fingers or my puppy when he brushes past it. I have tried sawing it down a bit to dull it but still sharp.
I purchased the xsmall crate for my mini-daschund puppy, I should have bought the next size up. I can fit a small bed in there for him with just a little room left on the floor no matter which end I put the bed in. He does like it and goes in on his own. I found the crate to be no more difficult to set up then any other metal folding crate. I always latch both latches on the door though just to make sure the crate does not bend out of shape. Somethimes the latches can be a little difficult to open or close. Overall I do like the crate for the cost.
