Frisco Holiday Dinosaur Sound Electronic Plush Cat Toy with Catnip & Silvervine

When I first unveiled the Frisco Holiday Dinosaur Sound Electronic Plush Toy, I offered it to my eight-year-old lady cat who prefers food and naps over just about anything else. Unsurprisingly, she was unimpressed. She gave it a couple of polite sniffs, then promptly closed her eyes for a nap. Next, I handed it off to my two-year-old stereotypically crazy orange boy. He immediately grabbed it in his mouth, flung it into the air, and chased it down like it was the best thing ever. Getting an instant reaction to a new toy is a rare and wonderful gift, so I was thrilled! As any cat parent knows, sometimes the box is more exciting than the actual toy, so seeing him play was a win. He batted it around for a few minutes before his short feline attention span took over, but I could still hear the jingle bell sound from time to time over the next few days. I also have three four-year-olds and a three-year-old who gave the toy a sniff and walked away, unimpressed. To be fair, they’re not big on catnip or silvervine either, so that didn’t surprise me. From a pet parent’s perspective, I’m happy with how well the toy is made—sturdy, safe, and clearly designed with cats in mind. Safety is always a top priority when choosing toys. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid choice for a cute holiday toy. Whether your cats adore it or ignore it completely will depend on their mood that day—because, well, cats are going to cat.
