My husband and I have two, large, 2-year old, Maine Coon cats. We placed the Frisco Holiday Santa Plush Kicker Cat Toy next to one of them. The scent of catnip attracted him right away. He grasped it and started scratching the toy with his back leg claws as I guess that’s how a Kicker Toy is intended to be used. I appreciate the quality of the toy’s design and construction. The fabric withstood his nails… no signs of thread pulling or seam separation. Santa’s hair doesn’t show any sign of destruction either. We left it on the floor a few days more to see either one of them would play with it again. Neither one has touched it since. I can only assume the catnip wore off. I expect they will rediscover it.

as soon as I opened it, my two cats were curious. Neither of my cats are particularly attracted to silvervine, but there was enough catnip to entice them both to play. My littlest cat LittleBit played first, and seemed to love that it was nearly as long as she is. She had fun hugging it tightly and bunny kicking her heart out. Then my just this side of criminal cat Jack played with it, and he decided it was his. Not hers, HIS. He sat with his paw holding the toy for over an hour after playing. Not sure if he was protecting Santa or just daring LittleBit to try something, but it was effective. Now LB plays with it when Jack is upstairs (which she still does often lol). These guys are rough on toys, and Santa has held up well so far.
